After listening to Live Between Us, I quickly wondered how many of Gord's inspiration's were evident in his ranting and raving. For starters there is:
-A John Lennon/Beach Boys Reference in Grace, Too in the ending rant on LBU,
-David Bowie's 'China Girl' in New Orleans is Sinking on LBU
-The frequent Bruce Springsteen references on IVL's Use It Up and Forest Edge
-Neil Young's "Tonights the Night" on "All Torn Up" and "Down by the River, I shot my baby" on the Roxy's New Orleans is Sinking, 1993
-Elton John's "Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me" in the 'Hundredth Meridian" from the Martyr in Chicago, 2000... (and one could argue that Are You Ready To Love, sounds a lot like "Are You Ready, Are You Ready For My Love, Elton John, 1978)
There must be dozen's hidden on bootlegs... anyone else notice these types of things?

Ok, I bored......

Cherry and Brian say the same thing over and over, but Cherry is far more entertaining....

Brian Williams is the single most annoying voice in Canadian Sports history......

Vic is Curling....

Anyone pay attention to this?

I will be last to admit that I watch it, (but I do) I don't beleive in it, I think it's very entertaining, anyhow........enough with the disclaimer........

Isn't obvious they're trying to get Bret Hart back, or Bret Hart is doing a lot to get back in? He wants the rights to his photos, so that means he may make an appearance at WM 20, One of the matches is HHH vs. Benoit vs. HBK,

I think this is an obvious set up for Bret to "screw" HBK, and for Benoit to win the Title, and the PPV "Backlash" is in Edmonton, followed by "RAW" in Calgary. Any coincidence?

 Cry there... I admitted it.... I watch wrestling....sometimes..... well almost never.........well ok every monday........

Hey Guys, I was just wondering if anyone knew how to get ahold of some of Alan Cross' "the ongoing history of new music". I don't know if CD's exist that he has put out or what, but I'm doing an essay on the history of brit pop and he has done a 4 part series on it. If anyone could let me know if it is possible to get ahold of cette series, it would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Folks,

Being new to the site, I figured it would be good to delve right into the discussions and take a survey of hip fans thoughts. So what is your favorite Downie quote? I will limit it to just one. But feel free to add a million.

"I know this eighty-five year old woman...she's got boy trouble. She's got boy trouble."

Hi guys, I have a question for the board. I might be moving to Winnipeq, Manitoba for a semester of school. I was wondering what it is like living there, living costs, things to do, etc before making a decision. I don't want to move up there in the fall and find myself stuck indoors listening to the Hip with nothing to do!  Although thats still an option Tongue
