Well , my wife and i are going to see bnl tonight in Rochester.
It will be the first time seeing them for both of us, it is her favorite band so i guess i will go with her since see goes to all the hip shows with me.
Also looking at their web site there are selling their shows either in mp3 format or on 2 cds which is seven dollars more than the mp3's
So maybe the hip will be offering the same type of options on the next tour
Ron
My fellow Hip fans..I know someone's got them somewhere, I am too lazy to find them out for myself.
Thank you in advance.
Saw this article in the news today, made me wonder about the absurdity of some peoples' choices. Read on.

Smoker opts for longer prison term
Canadian couldn't handle smoke-free jail
Updated: 1:50 p.m. ET March 02, 2004WINNIPEG, Manitoba - For a 73-year-old Canadian man, 20 months in a smoke-free jail looked just too long, so instead he took 24 months in a prison where he can smoke cigarettes.
Angelo Foti was sentenced to 20 months for shooting and wounding a man in his backyard who was trying to repossess a snowmobile sold to Foti’s son, the Winnipeg Free Press reported on Tuesday.
In court on Monday, Angelo Foti was agitated when he realized the sentence would mean he would be in a provincial jail, where smoking is banned, the newspaper said.
Foti’s lawyer pleaded for a 24-month sentence instead, which means the man will go to a federal prison, where smoking is allowed.
In accepting the longer term, Foti, a dedicated pack-a-day man, ignored the wishes of this family.
“Dad, they’re just cigarettes -- give them up. Quit smoking: you’ll be healthier,” his son Angelo Jr. said in court. “Just take the 20 months.”
Just wanted to know if anyone has had a chance to convert the Concert for Toronto show from the Bell Sympatico webcast. I'm highly interested in this show, I have a copy of the show but it's not from the webcast.
The past two days in Syracuse have been wonderful, over 50, with some sun. People are starting to emerge and I've spotted a few pairs of flip-flops on the quad. Now, I may be jumping to gun a little bit, but I have to ask: what's everyone's favorite springtime activity?

We should All throw Gordie a surprise party at his house. The reason for the party? Do we need one? Follow me! I know the way!
Well, after all the whining and bitching I did about having to go to a Nickelback concert, I can finally tell my friends "I told you so". That was an aweful experience.
I new from the moment they walked on stage to a stage full of loud pyrotechnics, and proceded to ask the crowd "Have you ever been to a real rock concert before?", I was in a place that I desperately needed to get out of. The more the lead singer said the F-word, the louder the crowd of teenie boppers responded. Not even the beer could save me at this point. All the songs sounded pretty much the same. And the asking for women's undergarments just put me over the edge. To think that this band is going to win all the awards at the Juno's is, well, unthinkable.
Just sounding off...so far off already.
Ok so i wasn't dreaming last time.. Brand new Tragically Hip was played during the Canucks game last night vs the San Jose Sharks.
The songs were titled..."VACCINATION SCAR" & "SUMMER IS KILLING US"
In the past another new song called "GLUE GUY" was played.
I was a lil nervous when i made a similar post after i heard the Hip during the Nashville game cause it did sound a lil out there.
But this time here is some proof .....
Check out this link to the Canucks message board. The D.J writes posts after each game detailing what he plays.

Oh yeah they both sounded awesome and rocking! The countdown is on...can you wait?

So, I've been blistfully unaware until 5 minutes ago that there was another song out there that goes by the title "Wild Mountain Honey"
This new radio station here in Calgary is playing some of the more obscure tracks from great albums and this one was just played. Coincedentaly (sp?) the Hips 50 Mission Cap just followed it up.
Anway, here are the lyrics from the Steve Miller song "Wild Mountain Honey"
Ooh, mama
Well look what's been done
You can only see the stars
After a setting sun
You run for the money
You don't even know about wild mountain honey
Come on mama
Heal this lonesome man
Grow the tree of wholeness
In this desert land
Come on children
Now learn how to run
By heaven, the stars, the moon and the sun
Come on papa
Your end is the means
Don't trade your love and goodness
For the golden machine
You run for the money
You don't even know about wild mountain honey
Mats if you're out there, get in touch!
