If you were going to name a sports team with a Hip reference, what would it be called? It doesn't have to be specific to one sport.

on the internet? I do, Q107 is my favourite. My parents love that station, too.

How about starting a petition of some sort to help the Hip get more recognition in the States. I really wish Canadian music have been added to NAFTA - do you guys feel that way, too?

No doubt it coulda been inspired by the "Godfather," FLQ, Son of Sam
activities of the 70's where killers and cars, and more specifically trunks,
became linked. Remember that as Gord was writing the song, "Goodfella's" and
the 20th anniversary of the FLQ where both in the media.

Driven by whatever drove him to kill: money, hate, religion, king and
country (16th Century Conquistadors...) the driver is now angrily taking out
his aggression on the gas pedal. "I've gotta get rid of this! Dammit, why
did I do this??!!" hence the Machine Reving Tension.

So to me, it's a killer, maybe a mobster, maybe a terrorist, driving his
body to it's final resting place, and wrestling with the guilt along the
way. He's trying to justify his actions, telling himself he'll never be
caught: "It'll be okay. I even destroyed the map. They'll never find me or
the body."

And then of course, like Poe's tell-tale heart, the body starts screaming
"LEMME OUT!"

But it could be about Hockey...

I was just on Pollstar and they have a Hip show listed for July 24th in Sudbury @ Laurentian University.
