If we can look beyond Canada Day for a sec, who's making the trek North, Wasaga Way?

Here's the line-up of curtain jerkers before the boys tear-up some Huron horizons, any good?

01:00 PM Theresa Andersson
02:15 PM Roomfull of Blues
03:45 PM Colin Linden (His BARK stuff is really good, anybody seen him solo?)
04:15 PM David Gogo (I've heard the name... is he decent?)

06:00 PM The Greatest Band in the Land. (It's still goin to be daylight when they finish, hopefully they pull out a couple of encores!)

Maybe this is a little macabre, but whenever I hear "Boy Bruised by Butterfly Chase" it reminds me of 9/11, specifically of these poor people who had to jump.

It first started with a documentary a saw on 9/11 of few years ago, the one where the two french brothers are with that NY fire department. Everyone on the tape was saying that on the day, it was a beautiful morning and the "sky was so blue".

The next time I heard the song, I listened to the lyrics in the context of 9/11 and it just brought a whole new meaning to the song.

"Must of tripped, I don't know. Don't remember falling away. Nothing that I hold onto, and not being afraid. Down down down, I'm falling, down down down. Its like I was born never touching the ground"

The person finally unable to hold on anymore because of the heat, letting go and losing all fear.

"Everyone was standing around me, laying in the dirt. I could hear their hearts breaking, but I wasn't even hurt."

The person, looking down at firefighters standing around the body, saying a prayer.

Hey guys,

Just signed up and wanted to say hello. I'm a big Hip fan, especially of older boots (to be clear, I purchase all the commercially available CDs, I'm talking about concert bootlegs). Also a big fan of Gord Downie as well; love Coke Machine Glow.

There was an ftp site that was up a while ago (thehip.org maybe?) and I got a good start with that. I'm looking forward to collecting more Hip boots.

Anyhoo, sure I'll be posting a fair bit.
