I just changed my email address one month ago (when I switched from Sympatico to Rogers), and I signed up again to the Hip Mailing List with my new email, and for some reason I'm not getting any of these emails about the fan club shows!!! It's so frustrating. I even bought a new copy of IVL (as I lost my Hip Club Card) so I could sign up for that again, and nothing!

I really really really hope that I start getting emails before the Toronto show goes on sale, it's driving me nuts!

Any suggestions?

i'm north for the summer with limited access to transportation so i'm really gunnin' for a toronto date before i leave.

Vancouver Club Show
Hello Vancouver Hip fans,

The rumours are true - the Vancouver club show is on. The Hip will play Richard's on Richard's Friday June 25th. As you probably know ticket availability is very limited and available on a first come, first serve basis. Only members of the TTH lists, like you, will be able to purchase tickets.

Tickets for this special show goes on sale Monday June 14th at 10 AM local time only online at ticketmaster.ca - TWO TICKETS per PERSON. Follow the link below and use the password "xxxxx" to purchase your tickets.

On the Ticketmaster purchase page you will be required to enter the name of the person who will be picking up the tickets at the venue and attending the show. This person must present his/her valid ID to claim the tickets. PLEASE NOTE: Tickets will only be released to the ticketholder(s), as designated at the time of purchase, at the venue box office upon entry into the club. Therefore, if you've ordered two tickets, you and your guest must pick up the tickets together. We've implemented these measures to deter scalpers and most importantly, to ensure fans like you can attend this club show.

We hope that if you are not able to attend (perhaps because you do not live in the area), that you will refrain from passing along this information to non-list individuals. The band is hoping to have as many friends from the list at the show as possible. With this in mind, a smaller number of tickets will be given away by local radio stations for those people not on the list - so please respect other list-members and don't "pass the password on."

http://www.thehip.com was just updated and it looks like puretracks is running a contest for 2 tickets to the July 1st show. Includes airfare, spending money, etc. Since it's puretracks, its open to Canadian residents only...so to my friends up North...good luck! :thumb:

Given their new producer/artist relationship, this seems more interesting.

I got sick of continually visiting that music site and repeatedly clicking the previews separately.

Uploaded to The Hundredth Meridian:
"IBE Track Previews.mp3" (6mb)
"IBE Track Previews.wav" (65mb)

All 13 track previews stitched together came out to 6 minutes, 27 seconds. I can't tell a difference between the wav and the mp3, but I uploaded both for the audiophiles in the house. I also uploaded the track listing in one file instead of referring back to that site.

If anyone is having trouble with the FTP and wants the mp3 through MSN, add me to your list, I'll stay online all day today.

Just heard on HTZ FM in St.Catharines, they will be broadcasting the world premiere of IBE, on June 25th, at 9 or 10:00pm, with the Hip. Doubt its a live broadcast, but they will play probably 2/3 of the new cd. Here's your chance to check out the tunes before the 29th. I'm guessing other stations will have it as well, on or around that date.

Hi everyone!

Just wondering if anyone else is a bit worried about being able to get tickets for the T.O. show. I guess this may be a dumb question but with the Calgary and Edmonton show going so fast...do you think us hipbasers have a pretty good chance of getting tickets? How many would you guess will be available?
