I just received this from Q107 for the presale for the Van Morrison show at Molson.
It may explain why people got wierd seats at Molson and Darien.
Like why I had section 101 row 6 and then went back and only got section 202. Damn my work computer sucked that day.

IMPORTANT NOTE: WHILE Q107 AND HOUSE OF BLUES CONCERTS ARE PLEASED TO
OFFER YOU THE OPPORTUNITY TO PURCHASE TICKETS BEFORE EVERYONE ELSE, PLEASE
NOTE IT IS A TICKETMASTER RANDOM LOTTERY AND Q107/HOUSE OF BLUES ARE NOT
RESPONSIBLE FOR WHAT IS AVAILABLE DURING THIS PRESALE.

Just drove by my favorite record store here near Buffalo, and they are closed down.
Whenever new releases come out they receive them a couple or so days early, and place them out for sale.
Hmm, there goes that idea.

Okay, should anyone feel the need or would like to post a picture of what they look like...might help all us fellow Hipbaser's to put a lovely face to their lovely names...I'll go first. Me and Paul Langlois two years ago in Orlando...and then recently myself and my bestfriend (I was going to cut her out of the shot, but I got too lazy)....

Anyway, go to www.geocities.com/hipcrush

The pix will be there

What is this obsession with some fans to intertwine Canadian nationalism with the Hip?

Seems like alot of fans would like to see the Hip walk out on stage, Canadian flags draped on their backs, escorted by Mounties in full dress uniform, live beavers running around on the stage, recite the "I am Canadian" monologue and then belt out "Oh Canada"

For example, the Much Music I&I when the crowd spontaneously breaks out into "Oh Canada" (clearly to the discomfort of Gordy).

Or the beginning of the Zoo Ampitheatre in Toledo, when he's taking about the ratio of Canadian Flags to American flags - Do people really bring Canadian flags to concerts of other Canadian bands? Is the Bare Naked Ladies audience awash in Red and White?

It just seems odd. I'm as proudly Canadian as the next guy, but being a Canadian Band is pretty much the last reason I listen to the Hip. Rush is a Canadian band and I pretty much feel like rupturing my ear drums with whatever sharp instrument happens to be on hand when they come on.

Canada defines the Hip, but do the Hip define Canada?

For The Hip, YES...well worth the money. For the Goo's, ugh, noooooo...

Kari,

As you are aware, the Goo Goo Dolls will be performing a large, free-to-the-public show in Niagara Square on July 4th, as part of a weekend long event - Uncle Sam's Jam. The event is expected to attract tens of thousands of fans to Niagara Square on Sunday, July 4th.

However, our good friends at Buffalo Place have a once in a lifetime opportunity for you; an intimate concert performance by Buffalo's favorite sons, the Goo Goo Dolls. On Wednesday, June 30th, the Goo Goo Dolls will host an intimate, private show at the Buffalo Convention Center. The evening will include an autograph and photograph session and a "meet and greet" reception with the band, as well as refreshments. Here’s the catch, only 1,000 tickets are available for this performance and tickets are available for purchase by invitation only. Consider this your invitation. Tickets are $100 each and include the performance, a meet and greet reception and autograph/photograph session. There is no limit to the number of tickets you may request, however, tickets will be sold on a first-come-first served basis and once the allotment has been sold, additional tickets will not be made available.

I heard that not many tickets are left, so you need to jump on this quick.
