Alright, this song gets a bad rap. I think perhaps because of the subject matter. But really folks, give this one another listen.

The way the guitars bring a raw edge to the open of the song, followed by Johnny's angry drums (Sounds like he's hurting them!) and the really great riffs and instrumental breaks, make this one a winner.

I think Paul and Bobby do well on this one, and the jet at the end is a nice touch (Not to mention a great transition into "Engaged.")

Coconut Cream, it's no Ahead by a Century, but it's not Evelyn either.

Just wondering if anyone knows exact sales for each of The Hip's albums? Last stats I saw were on the Egos and Icons MuchMusic did in 1997 so those are pretty out of date now.

Anyone else heard this hockey rumour? I know he is not happy in Boston, this would certainly be a good pick for the Wings.

Not for the weak of stomach - no gore, but a bad scene.

Hi all, i was just wondering if anyone has seen the "Bill Brasy" skit on Saturday Night Live. Its fairly old, but is funny as hell. It consists of drunk guys bragging about a character known as Bill Brasky. It pokes fun at the fact that when ppl are drunk, they tend to exagerate about things. Here is a great link if you're interested- it has quotes from various skits: http://www.sloarsociety.150m.com/billbrasky.html

Also, would anyone know where I could find video of the SNL skit- I have audio from the majority of them, but have been unable to find the audio and video. Thanks.

This may seem like a stupid post, but I guarantee, go to the link above when you have some downtime at work- the quotes are so outrageous you'll be laughing outloud.

I am transfering audio from a video right now onto CD from 7-24-93.
The show where Gord missed the guy on stage.
"He was my man..."
They start jamming along and all of the sudden after a minute, the go into 38 Yrs Old.
Never would have guessed it was that song, kinda sounded like the prelude to Thugs.
Damn it sounded really great.
I figured it would be worn out or sound the same as always.
Very cool sounding, and I actually think it would fit into a show now with that sort of version.
That is all.
Thanx for listening.

I remember the "Roman-a-clef" lyric and the "Manhattan French" line from Lofty Pines... does Gord parle francais in any other songs that I'm forgetting?

Admittedly, I don't follow the Golden Game as much as I used to, but I tagged along to the Hasek press conference yesterday and was pretty surprised at all the negative flak he took from the press... seems like there's a TON of pressure on this guy to come through.

I saw him play once in MLG back in his Buffalo days, he was damned impressive then. Does he still have it?

Help me out here Hockey nuts, will the Dominator be enough to bring the Cup back to the city where it was born?

Hey all. I know everyone is consumed with the new album, but I was wondering if anybody has a copy of the boys playing ABAC, in which Gord tacks Pink Moon onto the end? I'm a big fan of Nick Drake, and would love to be able to hear it...so if anyone can point me in the right direction, I'd really appreciate it!
