And the Hip fans come out of the woodwork! People are obviously snatching up this album in a big way. I'm actually surprised they beat out Avril and the Beastie Boys, as those two albums have been selling like mad. Anyway, here's the link:

Anyone else in T.O. here this? This morning on the morning show, Dean confirmed, "most if not all" of the members of The Hip will be taking part in his day of golf, hanging out, having a good time he said. He mentioned before that there will be a band playing, but has not said who as of yet. I doubt it'd be the boys, but that's just my opinion. Unfortunately, tickets are sold out. Maybe some Hipbasers picked one up?

I have Phantom Power, Live Between Us, and Fully Completely and absolutely love these albums. I have had them for about 8 months. However I know there is much more to the hip than studio albums. The live experience is where it is at I asume. Tell me about legendary shows, rare songs, and what to expect at a show. I'm a huge fan of Phish, Pearl Jam, and anything Neil Young has touched. Educate this newbie.

PS The reason I don't have IBE or any other Hip CDs is because this music lover buys too many CDs. I have promised myself I wont buy it until I get a job. As incentive. However I make frequent trips to the record store to listen to it.

I respect your community and come in peace and hope to share many good times with this band in the near future.

I bought a case of Labatt Blue and was delightfully surprised to find a Tragically Hip CD!

1. Heaven Is A Better Place Today (IBE version)
2. Bobcaygeon (Live)
3. Music @ Work (Live)

The 2 live tracks are great sound quality. They were recorded at the Skydome, June 21, 2003. Pretty much the same sound as the tunes on Live between Us. And... they run together which is cool. Music @ Work is awesome. At the besinning Gord says,"Alright. all these fun and games are fine for you! Music at Work! Ha ha, Come on everybody! Come oooon. It's time to go to worrrk. It's time to go to worrrk. Honey, Honey, Honey! Uh! Everything is bleak..."

Does anyone know if this is the only Hip CD that comes in the Blue cases or if there are any others? I know there is an Our Lady Peace one.

OK folks, I'm sending these discs out to someone as part of a trade. I'm going to burn 2 copies of each show, and give away the second set as freebies. Many of these shows are probably fairly common, but I'm sure there are a few newbies who would like to get their hands on one of these shows.

The "rules" are simple. I want to spread these around to those in need, so please only pick one show. Reply in this thread, and tell everyone which show you're taking. Then send me a PM with your address, and I'll send you the show. No trades, blanks, or postage necessary. Once a show is gone, it's gone! Once they're all gone, you're out of luck! Have fun...

07/02/87 - El Mocambo, Toronto (1 disc)
12/??/89 - Spectrum, Toronto (1 disc)
04/11/90 - Spectrum, Montreal (2 discs)
11/31/90 - Nighttown, Rotterdam (1 disc)
12/09/92 - Logo, Hamburg (1 disc)
07/26/93 - Landsdowne Park, Ottawa (1 disc)
06/29/04 - Mod Club, Toronto (1 disc)

P.S. The Mod Club show is just the radio broadcast that is going around. Unfortunately, I don't have any great recording of the whole show. This is just a help to someone who's BitTorrent-challenged! Smile

Does anyone know if there any regular or special buses that go to Wasaga Beach?? I know they sometimes ran buses to Molson Park... I know this is different. But I wasn't sure if any company runs buses to Wasaga on summer weekends... it would certainly save hassles for parking.

Nick

Does anyone here use the tab program Guitar Pro for learning songs? It is a great program for creating and learning tabs. Unfortunately, the onlye Hip I've been able to find NOIS. Does anyone have any other Hip files for GP? Is there anyone that is good at tabbing songs that would be willing to do a couple?

Thanks.

If you've never heard of Guitar Pro, you can download a demo from www.guitar-pro.com to check it out. You can find most of the tab files for the program at www.mysongbook.com

So... I know there's a bunch here going... but does anybody know there was around Wasaga Beach at all? Where exactly is this concert?

I keep seeing Beach Area #1 or something like that, but that doesn't mean to much to me, and doesn't come up on mapquest (kidding)... Help? Anybody?

And how many people can the beach fit?
