If you could make up a setlist for the band what would u have on it?? and in what order?? lets also say that you don't need to put emphasis on any one album (meaning is not the ibe tour or anything)
lets say they play twenty songs in total with 3 in the first encore and 2 in the second encore.
I think that mine would look something like this:

1 Grace, Too

3 Locked in the trunk of a car

7 Joe

Wow is that ever a lot harder then i thought.....I kind of tried to get some songs together that seem to flow together.......and there are sooo many incredible songs that i didn't add.....maybe i should have made it a 50 song concert!! And yes I realize i have 21 songs ( i counted gems and wolf as one cause they are both rather short.
GIve it a try and lets see what kind fo interesting setlists can be made

I mean seriously, who in their right mind chooses single stuff when we live in a world so abundant in double stuffed Oreo's. It's like selling the telegraph after the phone was invented...

And what the hell is the hold up on the quad stuff... you know people just do it on their own anyway?

I know he wrote one of my favourite songs "Sister Morphine" either exlusively for, or later covered by, (I'm not sure which) The Rolling Stones, but can somebody who knows the man a little better suggest a seminole recording or must have CD?

Lately I have been seeing an increasing amount of Hip bootlegs on eBay.

As soon as this one guy sells a Chicago show, a new one is up. I'm sorry but this really pisses me off. And the guy consistently gets 20 bucks or more for this audio CD he makes. What a joke :twisted:

Now he's starting to put a Montreal show up too. It seems this guy has had a show up non-stop. I mean, I browse eBay for Hip stuff in hopes of maybe finding on of the IVL jerseys and I always see these damn CD's.

So I guess I posted this so that we as a community of Hip fans can try to stop people from making profit for live material when we see it pop up on eBay.

I am not out to be a hero, just don't want our priviledge to record shows to be taken away because of a few jackasses.

Does anybody know a way of contacting eBay to report something like this? I would myself but I can't seem to find any specific email or phone #.

I wasn't going to say anything but I guess it has been itching away at me.

I was able to meet the band once during the "An Evening" Tour in Rochester, NY. While I thought all of the guys were very gracious I could not get over what a genuinely nice guy Gord Sinclair was. I chatted with him for about 10 minutes about everything ranging from the tour to his golf game. I could tell that he really enjoys interacting with the fans. Does anyone else have any interesting face to face stories?

A buy it now price of $20 US. Pretty good if you ask me. Has anyone ever seen this hat before?

I also noticed a couple more bootleg shows on ebay. Places Des Arts 2002 and Chicago 2000.....sigh!!

Although this is a very minor one, I thought I'd post it and let others post other mistakes. On the back of the IBE album, the song is listed as "You're Everywhere". In the liner notes, the title of the lyrics is "You are Everywhere", yet scribbled above is "You're Everywhere".

Do you think these are careless mistakes only picked up by people as anal as me?

Having been to see the boys numerous times and on both sides of the border, I've noticed a difference between American Hip Heads and Canadian Hip Heads.

No, it doesn't have to do with "Eh's" or what they drink, it has to do with Mr. Baker.

Now, perhaps it's because in the States you've had a few famous Robert's: Kennedy, Frost etc... and because here in Canada we love our Bobby's: Orr and Borden (PM on the $100 bill, "it's all about the Bob's.")

But I've noticed that Yanks call the long haired wonder: Robbie, while Canucks call him: Bobby.

Hmmmm... I blame the school systems.
