Not sure about everyone else, but I wish Gord (Downie) would put down the acoustic, at least for most of the songs. A few I don't mind (it does have it's places, ie: ABAC), but over the years he's been playing it on more and more songs. From the Sympatico webcast, I think he played it on every new song other than Heart of the Melt. He's even playing it on more and more old ones. I mean, we need "Animated Gord" at his fullest on songs like NOIS. Anyone agree?

Anyone heard of these guys? I saw em up in Big River at the Ness Creek Music Fest. They are incredible definitely worth seeing. I think they are from ontario somewhere.

I'm wondering what some Hip songs used to be called. I don't know too many, so please... add what you know!

Joe -> Goodnight Josephine
Ballroom -> You're Everywhere
Stereo -> Escape is at Hand for the Travellin' Man

So who's coming with us to Sudbury! Any Buffalonians doing the double after Darien? "Tragically Phipps..." I'm looking in your direction.

Big Nickel fever is sweeping the Base.

I have 8 amazing photos from the Ottawa Bluesfest, I've tried every way but Sunday to upload them to yahoo photos and even photoclub. No avail. I'm not sure if because I'm on cogeco light, I can't transfer files (100mb) each or there is another problem.
Anysuggestions?
thanks
tina

I got an email from Pollstar this morning.
And was I ever excited to see the update was The Hip.
Then I click on it, and the update was announcing Darien Lake.
Well, nothing like announcing it the day of the show.

A six minute cut from the pilot episode of "American Dad" has been leaked and is being torrented below:

Basically it's derived from Family Guy in terms of animation and style, but so far I don't find it nearly as funny. The whole talking fish and alien thing are basically Stewie and Brian, and the daughter seems like the annoying Meg character of the show entirely. I dunno, I guess there were a couple of funny moments, but overall Seth should have stretched his wings a little further and created something much different if anything at all. This will debut after the Super Bowl on Fox with a new Simpsons episode (like how Family Guy debuted).

Family Guy will return with new episodes in June 2005

Ok, I know I'm the dumbass newbie American but what is:

A toonie, a busker, and a husky? I think a husky is the dog species, but I'm sure I'm wrong.

Any input works here.

Also, any other phrases unknown to those of us south of the boarder would help.

Thanks :thumb:
