There aren't TOO many... I decided to watch the show rather than take 300 photos this time... and a lot of the ones I did take were blurry... digital camera + no flash = not great for concerts when Gord jumps around like a crazy person.

Soo.... for the few I did take, go to

I've got a whack of Hip VHS, a lot of it was used by FearNoArt back in the day to provide you all with the vids that were found on-line. Was hoping someone who had the skills could take my vids and put them on dvd so that everyone could have these. I'm liberating my collection!!! Someone email me and we'll set this up...All in all, I probably have 15-20 videos of live shows, rare promo videos, European performances etc.

Holy hell....what a time...as I said in my show review, my former hometown did not fail to disappoint, a great show, great set list and man was it nice to get up so close.

The best part was that I got to go backstage and meet with all the guys, who btw who were unbelievably friendly...I got autographs on the back of my t-shirt which included a lovely doodle of an anchor from Gord D...sweet!!

I asked both Rob and Paul when they were going to announce their tour dates and when the tour will start and they said that the dates will be announced around Labour day...(so no summer tour....BOOOO!!!) and the first leg will be an American stint with the first show being sometime around the 3rd week of September. They plan on being back into Canada to start that leg of the tour some time in November.

So it looks like we've got some time to kill between now and then....I for one will be taking a couple of "Roadies" Stateside to catch them again. I just logged my 2nd live show (in two weeks) and I am now hooked for life.

Look forward to seeing you all in the States...keep in touch.
Goulet!!!

Well, it took a few years and a lot of shows, but I finally got Johnny's sticks! As you'll soon see (*hint, hint, Shannon*Smile ) We went straight from the show to the Big Nickle, where I played a sweet drum solo on the landmark itself!

Also scored two setlists, and I now have tips for those who will be trying for such goodies in the future:

If after the show, you head up front and speak politely to Billy Ray and Ricky Wellington, they'll do all they can for you. I asked Billy for Johnny's set list and got that plus his sticks, and I simply introduced myself to Ricky, and he went out of his way, up on stage, and grabbed Paul's setlist for me.

Know the names, be polite, and you'll score.

Billy by the way was pretty nice and engaging, which isn't what I was expecting from his "all business" demenor and love of shredding beach balls with his teeth.

Great Show! And of course... it all went down as the girls were at the BINGO, and the boys were getting STINKO, ON A SUDBURY SATURDAY NIGHT!!!!

ok folks heres the deal. I got a chance to go backstage at darien. I chatted with Rob Baker and heres what i got:

1. Hip will tour the U.S starting in late september
2. Tour should last for about 6 weeks.
3. mentioned coming to Rochester,NY
4. The Band hates Rounder Records...they didnt do any publicity for this album and they didnt even get the album out to radio stations. Possible legal action may come.

Rob handed me off to a promoter guy who gave me his business card and wednesday im gonna call him and he's gonna give me a tentative schedule of dates.
