I was just thinking TURF Fest just announced tickets for sale though the lineup won't be announced till the 26th of May.
I wonder if The Hip are possibly playing it this year.
It is run by Jeff Cohen of The Horseshoe which The Hip have a long history with.
And on the TURF website is the following...
"TURF's artistic curation will also see some minor changes in 2016, "Some of the Main Stage programming will be a tad more mainstream and or accessible," says Jeff Cohen, TURF's Festival Director. "With the US exchange being what it is we approached a number of radio-friendly, higher level Canadian Artists this year, while at the same time really focusing on more hardcore desert island bands on the two side stages."
Just hypothesizing but not outside the realm of possibility I think....
Fourth album by these guys comes out on August 5.
New single was released last week: "Private School". They've gone in another direction, but not too far off from their previous album. I'm still digging it a lot. I've listened to it a couple times a day everyday for the last week. "A Little Rain" was released today, and it's even better than "Private School", in my opinion.
This is shaping up to be one of my most anticipated releases of the year. Sorry, Hip.
I really have no idea on specifics, but.....
Happy 20th birthday Trouble At The Henhouse. (aka: holy shit, 20 years?)
How many people here were around when we still bought CD's?
How many remember the "wonderful" Henhouse packaging?
Everytime I pick the damn TATH CD case up - I see a silver thing flying across the room.
"What the hell was that?"
"Oh yeah - just the CD"
PS- I love this album. I really never think it gets enough love around here based on when I see everyone rank their albums.
Sorry if this question has been asked before, but would anyone know if the videos that were on the Hip's website for these tracks for We ar the Same album are still available anywhere on the internet? I am in the UK and cannot find them anymore. Thanks for any help, Simon
