I'm watching a series from the 70s right now...I thought any hockey fans might want to know about it! We're playing Sweden and Bobby Hull has just scored a goal off Esposito! WOW! I never thought I'd hear that line live on TV.

No it's not a cover I think the boys should do. Although Gord would do it justice.

Here's the senario...the sox finally have some mo going into game 6. If (and it's an awfully big if, so don't get your panties all bunched up yankme fans) the sox win tonight that means game 7 will fall on the night the hip are playing in Burlington. Do I stay or do I go? AGGGHHH trying to weigh these two options is like having to choose between sleeping with Tammy Fay Baker or Leona Helmsley...UGHHH <<Shivers>> (Apologies to either Ms Baker or Ms Helmsley if you cruise the hipbase) Neither is the right choice but what can one sick demented soul do? To top it all off, given the pace of the last two games...I'll have to stay up until 3AM to see who wins!

68 unreleased tracks...

Geffen has confirmed additional details regarding the Nirvana boxed set, "With the Lights Out," due Nov. 23. The three-CD, one-DVD package will include 81 tracks, 68 of which are previously unreleased. Included are a selection of Kurt Cobain's home demos, live tracks and studio outtakes. The DVD boasts footage of the fledgling band playing a 1987 house party as well as studio and rehearsal clips.

"With the Lights Out" was originally intended for release in Christmas 2001, to coincide with the 10-year anniversary of Nirvana's breakthrough album, "Nevermind." But surviving members Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic were thwarted by lawsuits from Cobain's widow Courtney Love, who objected to their planned use of the previously unreleased track "You Know You're Right" in the set.

The dispute was eventually settled in September 2002, with the parties agreeing to earmark "You Know You're Right" for a self-titled Nirvana compilation released the following month.

I just wanted to say what good people the folks over at Universal.Ca are. I e-mailed them complaining of the lack of effort that Rounder Records in the States are giving The Hip. They e-mailed me back, and in the end, I received two posters and two promo cds saying thanks and keep up the support for The Hip. They made my day!!!!

Wasn't sure if I should ask this here or in the Non Hip baord, but it is in regards to going down to see the hip...........

I was just curious about crossing the border from Canada into the States. There has always been rumors, especially after 9/11, that they were going to start asking for Passports to get across the border. I find this really hard to believe and have never been asked myself.

I was just curoius if anyone out there has ever been asked or denied entrance if you didn't have a passport??

Ontario had now banned pitbulls. No more new ones that is. Pitbulls that are alive will need to have a muzzle on, and be spayed or neutered, also they must always be on a leash must.

Now, they can't say anything about them being on private property, where most of these attacks are happening, so why even bother?

After numerous rounds of, "We don't even know if Osama is still alive," Osama himself decided to send George W. a letter in his own handwriting to let him know he was still in the game. Bush opened the letter and it appeared to contain a coded message:

Bush was baffled, so he typed it out and emailed it to Colin Powell. Colin and his aides had no clue either so they sent it to the CIA. No one could solve it so it went to the NSA and then to MIT and NASA and the Secret Service. Eventually they asked Canada's RCMP for help.

I am not one to cause shit on these forums. In fact, I try to avoid friction where I can. However, there is one thing that has been happening quite often on here. It is the insistence that users use the search function to look for pre-discussed topics.

I agree that it can be annoying to read similar or the same information in different threads, and I can certainly understand the band-width limitations. However, I find it 200% more annoying to read the reminders left by others.

Often times these reminders lead to threads which have long-sinced expired. I think it is good to keep different topics going, and to reignite conversations about different topics. Furthermore, there are all kinds of new users coming on, and I think it looks pretty stupid to get on there cases about searching for a thread on a subject before they post.

The Hipbase seems to be one of the last forums on the net where users can have mature and insightful discourse, but I just can't stand the constant reminders to 'search before you post'.

Just my input on the matter.
