i know this has been beaten to death a few times about there not being a recording available as of yet... but does anyone have some sort of copy of the show? if not, thats a real shame. such an amazing show (i'd LOVE to get a copy of the show!!). anyways, i was wondering if anyone thinks it would be possible to get a recording straight from mts. because, they were filming it correct? that would be an awesome video to get a hold of, and turn it into a high-quality dvd. i dunno, sort of rambling here, anyone think it would be possible to harass mts to shell out a copy (if i asked nicely, or offered some cash perhaps?). anyways, thanks in advance :mrgreen:

Perhaps the band doesn't pay as well as we thought....

Tonight my friend dragged me off to one of those home decor stores in hopes that I would help him pick out the perfect gift for his sister. (He knows I hate to shop, especially for someone I don't know, but his logic was that it's a "chick store" and I'm a chick. What goes through a guy's head?)

Anyway, we were wandering around aimlessly, quickly realizing that it was becoming a lost cause, when I heard something that made my ears perk up. Normally, I pay very little attention to these things, but this one was hard for me to ignore.

"Paul Langlois to cash one for an override please. Paul Langlois to front cash for an override."

For some reason the thought of Paul wearing a stupid polyester vest and a name tag that said "Ask me how you can save $10 on your next purchase" with a cigarette dangling from his lip, made me laugh out loud. Needless to say, this drew weird looks from my friend and everyone else, but what the hell, the image was funny to me.

..which one would it be? Truth be told, I'm sure I'll download them all at some point, but for now my budget only allows for one. Which is the best performance, and which is best quality-wise? How do they compare to all the recent torrent posted shows? I'm listening to the Sydney show right now, and it sounds awesome. Should make my trip from Sask. to Edmonton this weekend go a whole lot quicker.

Congratulations to the London Knights, who have set a new all-time Canadian record for longest undefeated streak by a major junior team. 30 games in a row unbeaten... 28 wins and two ties... what an incredible accomplishment! This is an amazing story, and one good thing about the NHL lockout is that the Knights are getting their due for their success this season.

  Robbie Baker/Possible New Solo Album

As I stated in the Halifax show review, my wife Carolyn(WheatQueen) and I were able to speak with Robbie for about a half an hour at a private party after the show. He told us that as soon as he returned home to Ontario he was heading into the recording studio to record a solo album on December 7th.

He told us he was investing $30,000 of his own money to record it. He thought it would take a week or two to complete it. When it is finished he will shop it around to different record labels looking for a distribution deal. If he lands one we will be hearing the album in the future. Obviously, if he doesn't get one it will never see the light of day and he will be unable to recoup his investment money.

I would love to hear the finished product and I hope things work out for him. I would purchase his album if one came out.

The creators of Sharing the Groove have for some ungodly reason decided to abandon their site and start a new one. Rumour has it somebody at the top of the STG admin got in some legal trouble and for liability purposes decided to abandon the project. The rest of the gang has collaborated on the new site.

Unfortunately, word hasn't gotten around. There's a limited selection of Torrents...it's not nearly as diverse as STG was. I think we have to be fortunate we lived to see the golden age of STG, and now we're back in the middle ages, having to hunt for our food...so to speak.

Anyway, happy hunting.
