Hey folks, I was wondering if anybody knows what the sound setup on the Hip's tours is, what speakers and amps they use and how many...what do they do different when they play small clubs in the states? Just wondering if anybody out there has the technical details?

So what's the situation with the guys? whose married with kids, etc ...

The reason I ask is when I was at the November Toronto show, I was seated in sec. 118 right beside the stage, so right in front of me, for three rows, were about 15-20 people all wearing Backstage Passes, even several young girls, three woman which I would presume are wives/girlfriends, and then an few older couples, one man had very strong similarities to Gord D, i can only assume it was his father. So great seeing this individual gyrate to the music, only to appear exhausted after the first half dozen songs, he remained in his seat after that, except to head backstage to come back with drinks in hand.

pretty fun when every few songs or so, someone in the group would get up, walk down the aisle, clear security, dissapear to the inner bowels of the ACC, only to return with Red platic cups of liquid, Cans of coke (which we know the ACC does not sell nor allow you to bring in. Amusing that they were getting in on the Rider so to speak, or at least enjoying the fruit's of the band's sucess.

so, just who were these mystery people?

were they indeed the families of the band?

Hi, I'm new here and a huge TH fan.
I have seen them 2X, once at the Asylum in Toldedo Ohio and once at The Toledo Zoo (RAWK!). Both times quite a few years back.

I do have one question right off the bat, the song "If you lived here you'd be home", i have a live version of it on mp3 but it is kind of crappy, lots of hissing and not good quality. I really like the song and was wondering if there is a better version of it floating around anywhere.
I can't figure out why this song has not made a CD by now!

my sister got a bass for xmas, cos she is all praisey to zeee bass god that is sinclair.

anyone here got any sheet music for bass? thip a mega bonus.

and if any of you play the bass- good, bad or otherwise...could you give me a tip or two for her?

Just wondering what some of you think is the most surprising moment you've ever experienced at a Hip Show? Either due to a song you weren't expecting, or something that happens on stage etc.?

Mine has to be Edgefest in Barrie 2003, when they kicked into Fire In The Hole to open the show....

Hey folks, haven't been around lately so I don't know if this has been covered. Apologies if it's a repeat.

Gord will be a part of the 3-hour CBC benefit on Thursday. Most likely a solo performance. Sarah Harmer will be along as well.

Format is similar to the 9/11 benefit that ran in the States.

Anybody else see the two hour pilot aired on NBC tonight? I'm so looking forward to the new episode airing next week on Sci-Fi! :jump :jump
