KX02 (KX2-361), an oral dual src/pre-tubulin inhibitor with immune activation against brain tumors as a third mechanism of action, is a small molecule drug that has shown potent inhibitory activity against a broad panel of brain tumor cell lines, including those that are resistant to Temozolomide (T98G), the most widely used chemotherapy for the treatment of malignant glioma. This compound was discovered internally at Athenex. A Phase 1 clinical trial for KX02 commenced in early 2015 at three clinical sites in the United States.

In a well-established glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) brain tumor syngeneic mouse model, KX02 consistently cures the mice of their brain tumors after four weeks of therapy in 30-60% of treated animals. These pre-clinical studies showed that KX02 induced more necrosis in the GBM tumors compared to Temodar, and also resulted in more immune cell infiltration into the tumor tissues. Pharmacokinetic studies showed that KX02 is absorbed orally and has facile penetration into brain tissue from plasma, providing even higher drug levels in the brain than the plasma.

Athenex has received Orphan Drug designation for KX02 from the US FDA for the treatment of gliomas, which are the most common and aggressive form of brain cancer. Orphan drug status qualifies Athenex for seven years of exclusivity after formal marketing approval, as well as further development incentives.

XiangXue Pharmaceuticals in Guangzhou, China, is the collaborative development partner for KX02 in China. As a part of that partnership, XiangXue is preparing an IND application for the Chinese FDA.

I know it's a stretch, but if anyone has two Hamilton Hip show tickets for sale, I'm interested.

Apologies if this has been already found/discussed etc but I heard the local rock station here in London talking about and playing clips from this You Tube video. The Hip at Harris Park in front of a couple dozen people. The uploader has cleaned it up etc. See his comments below and consider clicking and donating to the research fund.

I found this on hipbase.com Live Hip Archive - it is a 45 minute set by The Tragically Hip​ from Canada Day 1989 prior to the release of Up To Here at Harris Park in London Ontario to what appears to be a crowd of maybe 20 people. I added some compression and equalization to the audio track and merged the two original video files into one. I know this is obvious but I really hope this is the one tour that fans don't complain about what is or isn't played. If they come out and play Evelyn for 2 hours followed by an encore of Evelyn we should all be grateful they are even playing. Yes it is obvious but...nothing surprises me. Other than perhaps the band playing Eveyln for 2 hours.

A band I used to be in also covered it and Id love to hear the difference in interpretation. As mentioned on other threads the whole reason I got into singing/songwriting etc was after seeing Gord at Glastonbury in 93, so Id love to hear this version to compare (and might even post my version to show)

Road Runner: Bo Diddley cover. Only available version appears on 07/15/88, where it is often mislabeled Back Off Baby.

Ive searched google, youtube and the hip archive and that starts at 1990 from what I can see.

PS why do I keep thinking of a title called "Rich Kids on Acid" - was that an old band name or song title I read somewhere ages ago? Or a support band of the hip?

My first Hip show was at Thunderbird Stadium in Vancouver for Another Roadside Attraction in 1997 and it was amazing. I don't remember much in terms of what was played (and no set list seems to exist that I have been able to find) but I remember the sense of awe I had about the experience as a whole.

With all of the discussion about how great it would be if they did one last big outdoor show it got me thinking back to this show.

So hypothetically if the Hip were to do one last one off ARA style show as a grand finale celebration who else would you want to see on the bill?
