Maybe you want to merge this into the big ticket discussion, but thought it might be good to have a separate topic to post ticket giveaways and contests coming up.
Just came across this one on Facebook for the Kingston show;

TRAGICALLY HIP TICKETS!!!!
It seems as though we got everyone's attention yesterday with the announcement about the two The Tragically Hip box seat tickets that Haven Home ClimateCare so graciously donated to our Silent Auction!!! These tickets are being packaged with a gift certificate for dinner at Le Chien Noir and taxi chits to make this a once in a lifetime opportunity and a night you will never forget!
But in case you were wondering what was happening at Change For FIN before today, here's some info about our great event:
Our Kick-Off Fundraiser, Change For FIN - A Celebration of Hope, is happening on June 18th at 2495 Princess Street from 10-3.
We have partnered with Haven Home ClimateCare and have managed to secure 25+vendors, including Parkadilly, Shiva's Delight, CocoaBistro, The Owl and the Peacock, Orna-Metal, Sassy Classy Fashion, Kimberly Doucet Photography, Alka's garden and so many more.
We have great music lined up for you - Sean Harley, Greg Ball, Downtown Trio and more! So come ready to cut a rug!
Art by Michelle Reid and Parkadilly have created amazing custom pieces for us which are part of a raffle that also includes a chance to win a Decadence Package from Diva Salon & Day Spa Kingston! These tickets will be available for purchase the day of the event or you can message us to pick yours up today!
We have too many silent auction items to list, most of them donated by our vendors and supportive community members. We have a bake sale, a cake raffle, a children' art auction, activities for the kids, face painting and henna artists.
I can't tell you how proud I am to be a part of such an amazing community. We will make a difference for children and youth who have been abused. I believe in the power of this village to make changes for Families In Need! Much love to all of you <3

oops it's been mentioned in the other CBC thread.
I'm in the Detroit area. Anyone know of any US stores that have MMP today. I want to pick it up (not wait for shipping...june 21 ugh). I do have a passport, could run to Windsor. Gotta have it asap!
Take your time with it. It's 2am and I'm so awake as fuck from the tunes I thought of the question. I'll give it a try

SUB QUESTION:
Guess three lesser-played/great songs that will pop up on MMPtour sets
-700 ft Ceiling
-Throwing off glass
-Emperor?
I was a bit surprised to see these stats. Most weeks at #1 on the Canadian charts among Canadian bands (tied with Nickelback...ugh). Most impressive stat for me though is the number of albums to reach #1.

If Gord and the boys would have enough energy in the wintertime, i'm curious what us fans would prefer. See them one last time in concert, or have them release one more album?
We shall all be gratefull now that we get to receive both a tour and an album, and I know we shouldn't expect anything, but this is merely wishful thinking and curiosity about what you would prefer.
Turf just announced their next batch of artists performing.
Among them is Dwayne Gretzky who is a collective of Toronto musicians who do cover songs.
At Turf they're billed as "Dwayne Gretzky Plays The Tragically Hip".
Should be interesting!

haven't seen this mentioned here yet. A pretty cool website collecting tributes using the hashtag #deargord from social media sites.

I've had an idea - wanted to post it here first, before going over to the hip forum on Facebook.
I'd like to create a fan video, with fans from here and FB singing a line from an (as yet undecided) song, probably a live version for reason I'll go into in a mo. I'll create a shared Google doc with the lyrics on it, where people can reserve a line. Perhaps donate $10/$20 or something to Sunnybrook for the privilege of being part of it? With about 20 or so lines in a song that's a respectable amount. Also I don't entirely get how you make money off of Youtube vids, but if people click ads and it makes money there too, all proceeds will go to Sunnybrook as well.
Parts of it will be the live stage video of whatever the song is, the intro, perhaps somewhere in the middle, and end of Gord, etc.
Then everyone does a video of themselves singing the line. The audio throughout will be the live gig, but with fans mouthing/singing that, visually. Live gig because that way it can be interspersed with Gord singing/dancing and then all lined up nicely.
I'll collate the videos, edit them in Premier, line them up with the audio etc. Darrin Cappe on Facebook (Here as well?) seems to know his stuff on video editing, so I'm sure if I ask nicely he could help with the completion of the video.
I just want to do this for Gord, to give at least a little something back. Maybe he'll see it, I don't know. Just want him to know we're there for him. I'm so (so) gutted I cant get to Canada for this tour, so need to stay engaged (!) with the goings on over the next few months as much as I can.
Thoughts? Good song ideas for this? Best live version (a/v)? Good idea or not?
New Orleans is Sinking, GLIYDW was another one I thought as its quite pensive and relatively apt given "the news". Poets? I could go on and on..
