I'm getting really addicted to these boots. I really get a kick about how they just break out into made up songs and the crowd interaction. Reminds me of the older Hip boots.

Listening to the The Village Underground boot - guess it was hot. Julie says its not that hot, and Josh says "If its so hot, than take off all your clothes", which turns into a little song of

"Its getting hot in here, so take off all your clothes
Baby take them off
Its getting hot hi here, lets take off all our clothes"

Meanwhile, Josh is signing in the background: "Let's get naked, lets get naked" and ends the song with "You first".

The "Free Joe Thorton" song is good for a laugh too.

Went to FYE over the weekend and found Tragically Hip's "Music @ Work" album for $3.99 Used. I put it on and it's perfect quality. To think what por chap would get rid of this album is beyond me.

Yes, believe it or not little ol' 5'5" me is as tall as Al Pacino. I think the best one was that I'm taller than Elton John!

It was a bit confusing at first, then again sometimes that's not too hard, anyway you need to scroll down on the side to get the height comparison. Hmmm maybe I didn't read the directions.

BTW, as far as our favorite topic is concerned, I was surprised how short Gord S and Johnny were when I met them. I'm pretty close to being as tall as they are or as tall. Then again, I was wearing 1-2 inch heeled cowboy boots that night.

Here is a piece I came upon recently which I found quite funny, and shocking. It has clips of American media perception of Canada. Obviously it is not a representaion of ALL U.S. media, but it does show some pretty uneducated journalism.

Prepare to be shocked.

Cost Trumps Patriotism in Flag Pin Flap

OTTAWA (Reuters) - The next time a Canadian official hands you a lapel pin bearing an image of the country's maple leaf flag, take a closer look. That symbol of patriotism was likely made in China.

Opposition legislator Charlie Angus attacked the Liberal government on Wednesday for ordering millions of "inferior quality" pins from a Chinese supplier rather than the Canadian factory that has been making them for 35 years.

"They are selling off our cultural heritage like a bunch of roadside hucksters selling off hubcaps and velvet Elvis paintings," Angus told Parliament.

Public Works Minister Scott Brison, whose department buys the pins, said the Chinese pins were cheaper. But this did not satisfy Angus, a member of the left-leaning New Democrats.

"We're outsourcing the fundamental symbol of what Canada is to a foreign country. I think that's a scandal," he told reporters. Canadian officials and members of Parliament traditionally hand out the pins as presents.

Transport Minister Jean Lapierre said that to demand maple leaf pins be made by Canadian suppliers was bad policy for a country so dependent on international trade.

"I think we need to follow our procurement rules rather than falling into an existential crisis on this subject," he told reporters.

Yah I saw the other thread "search police" but I needed to make my own for a specific problem...

I'm reading on the Queens website there was a presale for the Winnipeg show starting today but there is no mention of this on Ticketmaster. I tried signing up for their mailing list but it keeps saying "username taken" no matter what I type in.

Just wondering what's the deal with the presale and if there's details I need to know if someone could help me out that'd be great!
