alright, first post, and dont want to start off on a bad note so i searched my topic, several times i might add, and have found nothing. Anyways ive been jamming to alot of hip with my band, and i just cant get that HIP sound. obviously ill never be able to get the exact sound but, just wondering if anybody knew of the gear that the hip use (ie. guitars, amps, pedals, drums, mics etc.)? ANY help would be greatly appreciated being as i cant find anything about hip gear anywhere. thanks in advance

I was wondering if one (or several) of you kind Hip fans might be able to list the top 5 "must have" Hip DVDs that are currently circulating within the community.
Are there many 'pro shot' shows?
What are the top 'fan taped' shows?
A kind soul has offered to B&P a few shows for me but I'm not sure which ones I should get. :oops:
Any information would be greately appreciated.

Not really big news, caught in on E-Talk daily tonight, but Dan Akroyd will be the man behind the mic when the Hip are officially inducted into the hall of fame...

Makes sense... SNL, Across the Causeway... seems the man likes to introduce the Hip...

Okay. I tried searching the forum (as well as, you know, the internet) for anything to do with this and couldn't find anything.

Does Anybody know what amps The Hip use? I'm thinking particularly of their electric sounds from Fully Completely (the album).
All I can make out from the concert photos I've seen is a Marshall cab or two in the background, but I'm not even sure if it's a Marshall head sitting on top of that or not.
I can't find this stuff anywhere. And yes, feel free to shout at me if this question is asked all the time, but I can't find any threads about it, so I think I'm maaaybe safe.

Anyone out there watch this show? I saw an ad the other day saying it is coming on cable (Bravo?) after a season on HBO. The commercial intrigued me. Kinda in the mood for that type of thing after watching Constantine. Any info? Thanks friends.

Lucas says this could be rated pg-13 which i think is a good sign considering the last 2 movies were aimed at younger children. The most star wars fans are around our age (20-30) and we've been waiting so long for a movie that fits us. Hopefully darker will=better!
