I've got some hip shows I recorded in 99 (feb 19/22/23) that are on tape and I would like to convert them to dat or cd. They were recorded with a shitty walkman and a crappy mic, that being said they are still quite listenable, just missing some of the lows and of coarse have some of that lovely tape hiss to them.

To add more problems to whoever would like to try this the tapes are all type 1. I had to use type 1's because type 2's always distorted or burned when I used them, and there was no way to adjust the levels on the walkman I had.

So if anyone is interested in taking on this project let me know, so far I havn't come accross any recording for Feb 22-99 and I know my sources of the other shows I recorded at that time havn't seen the light of day either.

Now I don't expect a miracle with these tapes, I just want to get them on cd or dat sounding their best which will probably only be about a B+ at best

Does anyone have experience with GA floor seats at concerts? I have some for U2, and I was wondering if it will be super-crowded like an outdoor festival, or if there is room to move? Do you have to show up early to get a good spot?

it`s very cool to see gordie johnson of big sugar fame resurface....i`ve only heard one song & it sounds real good...big sugar on steroids if you will. from what i can gather, gordie formed this 3 piece down in texas and he`s got stevie ray vaughn`s old drummer

Hey all, just read in the Hamilton Spec. today, that there will be no live coverage of the "red carpet" b.s. for the Junos this year, and the actual telecast won't even be "live to air" because CTV is going to show a 90 minute telecast of Desperate Housewives. So no catching the Hip as they stroll up the red carpet and have that annoying Ben Mulrooney ask them stupid questions....Not even a live telecast, what a joke..

Hey all. Caught this show on the tracker today, as did a few others. Can anyone help out, and throw up a seed for this? Things are moving quite slow.....

Oh yeah, here's hoping for a 2005 Young and Hip show!!

Owwwwwwww....damn you Ireland and your tasty beer, intoxicating music and green and orange clothing...every year you woo me in, and then cast me aside at 3:00 am to collapse in a heap of drunkenness only to awake with foggy memories and an unrelenting headache.

Yet through all of that I still have to say that there's something about St. Patty's that just screams good times. It is fast becoming my favourite drinking day of the year. New Years is always a dud, your birthday is usually enjoyable except for that depressing feeling of knowing you've just gotten older, but so rarely are you around a collection of people in great spirits with nothing but getting completely trashed on their minds.

Saint Patrick god bless you and the leprechauns you rode in on.
