  MTV showing Live 8?

Hey, I saw a commercial today that MTV was broadcasting Live 8 on Saturday. Will this have the Hip on it? B/C if it is, it might give me the first reason i've had in years to watch MTV.

Don't know if this has been posted already. I did a search, nothing came up. So here's Gord's list from iTunes.

His quote at the end of #9 sums up his own band nicely.

7) “Waiting In Vain” Bob Marley And The Wailers: “I love everything Bob did, I just love this one the most. It’s brimming with beautiful melodies from all the players.”

8 ) “It Makes No Difference” The Band: “The best love song ever. Listening to it underscores the tragedy of losing Rick Danko and Richard Manuel.”

9) “Satisfaction” Otis Redding: “This is all about performance: Otis, Steve Cropper, Duck, Booker T, Al Jackson, Memphis Horns- it’s Stax at its best. It exemplifies the perfection that can be achieved by great musicians playing together live in the studio. Are you a pro or a tool?”

1O) “Heroes” David Bowie: The song would be incredible if it were just D and an acoustic guitar, but with Eno’s production, Adrian Belew’s haunting guitar lines? I love it more everytime I hear it.

What 3 Songs would you like to hear the Hip play at Live8?? What song trio do you think works best for them?

Id like to hear:

Fully Completely
Twist My Arm
Nautical Disaster

But Im pretty sure given the cause something at least one mellow song will be played ie: ABAC, IGLIDW or Are We Family maybe? Id bet money on Poets or Grace Too as the opener though.

Cordelia
Summer's Killing Us
You're Everywhere (for the crashes)
Lake Fever (crashes are great again)
Poets (simple but cool)
Something On
Nashville
Dark Canuck

I could name about 35 probably because Johnny Fay is always solid, but that's my list. Yours?
