Many of you on this site know a lot more about The Hip than I ever will.

Question - I know the band members, as a whole, are very close, but are there certain members of the band that are known to have a stronger relationship or a few membrs who hang out more socially when the band is not touring or recording?

Curious...

What an absolute treat for the fans with "mini" sets of songs from different albums. I have never seen a band do this (for an entire tour no less). So if the band stays true to this formula, how cool would it be to hear 4 songs from either ILV or IBE? I know these are the Hip's least played albums "live" but damn...it would be cool to hear 4 tunes off either or both at some point this tour!

my picks if it happened:

IVL:

A Beautiful Thing
Use It Up
Darkest One
Good Life...

IBE:

You're Everywhere
Makeshift
Are We Family
One Night In Copenhagen

More probable would be.....IMO

ILV:

Good Life
Silver Jet
Dark Canuck
Throwing Off Glass

IBE:

Gus
Heaven is A Better Place...
Summer is Killing Us
Nashville

I'm looking for the birds/one of the birds from the Yer Favourites/That Night in Toronto artwork but I can't seem to find anything in a higher resolution than this. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance. Smile

I have one 2nd row dead center floor ticket (Credit card entry) that I purchased from Ticketmaster platinum tickets. It cost me $500 for the ticket and my friend is unable to attend now Sad I would like to get my money back if possible and have a fan to enjoy the show with. Please let me know if you are interested.

Thanks,
John

If you're in Vancouver for the show(s) and need somewhere for some great beer before Sunday's show at Rogers Arena, Big Rock Brewery can help sort you out with a FREE pre-show EVENT (3-6pm)!!!

Vancouver's most versatile band The Naturals will pull from their insane catalog of 500+ songs to pull together an all-Hip set of yer favourites, and another set or two of classics. It will be impossible to be anything but entertained... AND IT DOESN'T NEED A TICKET!!!! If you need to get in the right mood for the big show, Big Rock is the place to go!

I spoke to a dozen acts that have opened for our boys over the years in a story for the Toronto Star. Some great stories and memories shared here. SR's is especially poignant. Give it a read if you have a minute.

Hey gang.

(I'm not sure if this is uncouth for me to mention or not, so MODS, please move this as you see fit.)

On Saturday July 30, I'll be DJing a Hip pre-show party at Fionn MacCool's in the Edmonton city centre mall. (Third floor by the theatres - 10200 102 Ave)

From 3-7 pm, any song you want to hear from our boys before the last Edmonton show. Super deep cuts, covers, b-sides...anything.

Admission is FREE.

As well, an LRT station is attached to the building, and can take you right to Rexall Place for the show. There are parkades with cheap weekend parking at the mall, as well.

It would be cool to meet some Edmonton 'Basers, and anyone in town for the show, for some pints and good times.
