I re-discovered this song a few weeks ago on my iPod, while I was at camp, and this is the first time I've been at a computer since then... Anyway, I want to know how to play it, but for whatever reason, I just can't figure it out. Does anyone know how to play it, or has anyone come across a tab for it - I couldn't find one on Google...

For anyone who doesn't know, it's from the 1992 Swinging on a Star show from CBC. It's a really nice song, and I'd love to be able to play it, but for whatever reason, I can't get my head around it. So if someone could point me in the right direction, I'd appreciate it.

There's a pretty decent piece in this months Walrus magazine about Bit Torrent. Called the "grand larceny" of online theft by some, the author defends it heavily with the "evolve or dissolve" argument. Either the industry will adapt, or it'll get left behind.

Seems BT has some bigger enemies than Napster ever did though, I didn't know you could download entire movies and TV shows right after their release/airing, and apparently Hollywood 'aint to pleased about that. A good read.

The same issue disscusses the US army's use of video games to recruit soldiers, and the creepy admission that they've developed a chip that when implanted into a monkey's brain, allows the primate to control a robot 100km's away with it's thoughts... I'm just thrilled I can burn my own CD's.

i'd forgotten about this cd until tonight.(one benefit of finally alphabitizing your cd collection of over 2000)....anyways...such haunting, beautiful songs...basil from blue rodeo, "sponsored" by the hip (recorded at the bathouse)...and just an amazing collection of songs..your heart will break, your eyes will water, and you'll wonder how you'd ever forgotten about this cd....(ok..well..i forgot..if you have..listen again..if you have never heard...listen...)...a few glasses of wine doesn't hurt either...

this has to be one of my all time favourite shows. It sucks that they cancelled it this year, hopefully NBC will release it on DVD. A&E plays the reruns in order everyday at 2pm. Anyone else watch this show?

this debuted at the just for laughs festival last weekend. a DVD of it has since leaked on the various bit torrent sites.

i watched it today. i laughed often, hard and loud. holy crap is it ever funny.

anyone else see it yet?

Is there any way that people who may have missed a particular download of the week can access the site and download that MP3? It would be great if there was a download of the week database site which listed the date when the track was download of the week and available in MP3 format, so you could catch up on missed weeks aswell as track down some hard to find rarities.

"I've just taken my last poo of 1991!"

A satifactory quality recording of an excellent show. The
copy sent to me was burned with gaps, which I've done my best
to correct here. Unfortunately, frequency analysis also
shows that this must have been converted to 160kbps mp3 at
some point in time. Also, the last song, The Luxury, is cut
short. Someone, at some time, must have thought it would be
better to fill the void by splicing in the album version,
which is much stranger to me than just letting the track end
where the tape did. I've corrected this by simply cutting
the track where it ended.

Having said all of that, I'm sure this would have been a
great way to usher in 1992! The Hip played five at-the-time
unreleased songs. One of them, Montreal, has never officialy
been released. New Oreleans Is Sinking dips even further
into the upcoming Fully, Completely album, with a 50 Mission
Cap rant, and a Looking For A Place To Happen tease, not to
mention a couple of lines from Joni Mitchells' This Flight
Tonight.
