In Neil Peart's latest road-trip biography 'Travelling Music' Neil makes reference to one of his "enduring favorite albums" Road Apples. He goes on to talk about when Rush asked the HIP to join them on an American/European tour. Indeed, very cool!

Anybody read this report about Ted Saskin and the NHLPA?

Quote:According to a report in the Toronto Star, the NHLPA is facing a mutiny amid allegations Ted Saskin was improperly hired as its executive director.

The report says Saskin's contract did not come from the full executive board, as required under the Association's constitution.

The paper also reports that some players were also upset the deal was ratified without a secret ballot, as required.

NHLPA President Trevor Linden released the following statement late Friday night:

"A NHLPA conference call was conducted on Wednesday evening with our full Executive Board, which includes a player representative from each team along with the seven members of our Executive Committee. The Executive Board had lengthy and productive dialogue on Ted Saskin's new contract and other matters. After a thorough discussion, the contract was overwhelmingly approved. I'm pleased that Ted will continue to represent the players as he has done since 1992."

All I have to say is, the players better work this out among themselves and make sure they all are on board with Saskin behing the executive director, because he seems to be the best choice... he'll stand up for the players but he's also reasonable. If it were up to him and Bill Daly for the NHL, we would have had a deal signed long before it actually happened.

NHL players, if you mess this up, then you really are a bunch of dumbasses!

  2 iPods one computer...help!

Ive had a 6GB ipod mini for a while now, and to make a long story short, my dad got a free ipod shuffle for switching banks, and since he has no use for it he gave it to me, and since my wife wanted one of her own, I gave it to her. My question is, how do you set up 2 ipods on one computer? I know apple made it so you can't, for piracy reasons, but a guy at the apple store here said it can be done, he told me to make a new user account on my PC and install it that way, but I tried using a different user account and it didnt work, it wouldnt let me. Does anyone know of another way or is there something Im not doing right?

And for reference, Im on a PC not a Mac. (shut up chris) :wink:

If anyone knows how, Id appreciate the help. :thumb:

I thought I'd give everyone an update of the goings' on in Moncton thus far. I'm a local and was hanging out downtown this evening having some dinner and a few drinks at Doc Dylans. As I was stuffing my face with a delicious chicken quesadilla I saw a familiar face walking down Main st ... the one and only Robbie Baker! He was on the other side of the street so I didn't get a chance to chat him up, but he was just walkin' downtown with a couple of friends. Very cool, just a regular guy, no entourage. I also saw the lead singer of Maroon 5 (his name escapes me at the moment) get mobbed by a bunch of 15 year old girls... hilarious!! Mick, Keif, and the boys were also downtown but staying out of site.
The city is really coming alive this weekend, lots of people are in town already with tonnes more arriving tomorrow (obviously). I'll be online Sunday morning with a full report of the show.

Not a bad little article. Although, I did notice one glaring error: the last time the band played in Edmonton was actually way back in 1993, and not 2003 as the article says. Anyway, here ya go:

Ok, before it comes down to a cage match, I thought I'd let the people decide, or maybe just express their opinions. Go read the "New Orleans" thread in the Hip Discussion forum and decide who wins this debate.

Please don't vote (not that I could stop you) if you haven't read the other thread and are only basing your opinion on years of stand up comedy routines. Your opinion may be the same at the end of the day, but please review the other thread in any event.

CF ... let me know if the options need to be revised. I've tried to be neutral.
