is it any good? I think their first three albums were great; then their following 2 really sucked. I saw them in Buffalo in June 1997 in support of Clumsy and they were awesome. Saw them three years later in Utah and they were pretty lame.

I know there's already a bunch of different PJ threads in here but I thought I'd start one to talk about the tour in general, throw some reviews of the shows you catch in here and whatever instead of a different thread for each show, since this is afterall, a hip message board.

Anyway, tonight's the night. Pearl Jam are coming to play the dome for the first time ever and I've got myself a ticket. A 10C ticket actually, and I couldn't be more excited. This show is looking to be fantastic! I've only seen them once before on a big road trip out to Vancouver with a few friends. Now they're playing right here in my backyard and all my friends will be there with me. Plus we've got the day off tomorrow to boot!!

The setlists for the first few shows on the tour are looking sweet and I'm ready to go!! Can't wait for the show tonight. And the Supersuckers are opening!! If anyone's going, I'll be there rocking the hipbase T or the black and orange Supersuckers T. Gonna be good times for sure!! :thumb:

... oh wait... no, that was MY review of the set in another thread... here's the ACTUAL review from the Daily News this morning:

Riveting writing... he found time to properly review OLP and Maroon 5, mentioning actual song names. And he can't use the "getting in by press time" excuse because there is a full review of the Stones set on the next page.

Here's some exciting news for any Rush fans out there.
Rush will be releasing the highly anticipated R30 DVD in late fall 2005. R30 will feature the sold out concert that Rush played in Frankfurt, Germany in October 2004 during their 30th Anniversary tour.

This is great news, judging by how incredible Rush in Rio was, I'm pretty excited about this new release. 2 great DVD's I'll have to wait for this fall.

It's a really big deal..it's all over CNN, I'm not quite sure what it means though, all I know is that he's been around a long long time.

So its possible we may never hear this song live again. I imagine alot of us would rather hear them play something else instead, I can think of a handful of songs I'd rather hear them play myself. But it is a Hip "classic" and a setlist staple, I guess it would be like seeing the Stones and not hearing Jumping Jack Flash or whatever songs they always play.

So should they keep playing it for tradition's sake, or should they play something else?
