Just got back from a 4 day company trip to Ottawa, in which I saw around 80 games that are coming out this holiday season including the 360. Before i start my review of the 360 i just want to say that whom ever has the license plate "HIPFAN39" ...your car is the shit! Saw you on the 416- 417 on saturday..small world.

So at this conference we do vendor classes all day (eg. sony, midway, m$, ea etc) for 2 days straight (24 hours of class) , then do business stuff which drains the life out of you. At night we are taken out to a bar/clubs by one of the big 3 companys. Sony rented out a club and got us SUM 41 on the first night. They actually put on a really good show, i was impressed. M$ took us to a bar (empire grill) to show the 360...

We got to see a Perfect Dark Zero which only some ppl got to see behind closed doors at E3. So the game is a first person shooter, co-op online and im pretty sure offline as well. The game looked amazing, for not even being finished yet. The walls in the game were actually "wet", the explosions were great as well as the character models and the interactive environments. After seeing this game it actually makes that madden pre rendered video believable. Thats how good it is.

The night of the vendor show (e3 type thing) i got to play Project gothem 3. The cars look well like real cars, the citys look terffic and i was playing on a friggin beta kit. There was a bit of "jaggies" in the game (you could see polyies) but the game is 2 months from being released so the polishing stage is not yet complete. The game played amazing, i mean the controls on this racer was top notch. Its an arcade racer feel, i didnt wipe out 20 times like i do in Gran turismo.

The only negative thing i could say about the system is the controller. I actually like the first xbox controller much better. Reason is that the 360 controller feels and looks cheap up close, not like the pictures. Its a smaller and lighter which might be part of it.

So all in all this systme is going to rock, all though M$ doesnt know how many will be build before xmas Cry This thing is a dream, i love the fact that you can watch TV through it and while watching Tv if one of your friends gives you an invite a little cirlce will pop up telling you so. Also i cant belive your PSP can hook into the system.just weird. :thumb:

November 1st is shaping up to be a magnificent day for new music purchases, and it's gonna put one hell of a dent in my bank account. Hipeponymous and a double-live Wilco album on the same day? Damn!

Just saw Dave do a reading from his new book "The Best Game You Can Name" at Pages Books here in Cowtown. Unfortunately I'm flat broke, so I couldn't buy a copy, but it sounds like it's another fantastic work from Mr. Rheostatic. He'll be in Winnipeg on Thursday night and then he's headed back east. There are a couple of backing vocals that I can't make out. The first, from Pigeon Camera is hard to decipher in both the acoustic and album versions. It comes just after what might be a nifty audio-illusion of Gord and Paul's voices coming together to make a "door slammed in my face" lyric, which doesn't actually exist.

"It's boring, (It's boring)
I'm embarrassed, (Embarrased...?)
I don't endorse that; (Slammed in my face)
I didn't want this, (Boring)
It's horrific (Boring)
I'm embarrassed (Embarrassed...?)
I didn't want that (Slammed in my face)
I didn't want this"

The second is the monologue from Poets:

"Don't tell me what the poets are doing (Don't tell me what the poets are doing)

Somehow not anti-social enough, all right

Having trouble with some first-year chemistry stuff. Any help with these two questions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks all!

1. An ore contains 37.1% of the mineral anglesite, PbSO4, which is a source of the element Pb. How much ore must be processed in order to obtain 49.0kg of Pb?

2. Suppose you make a solution that contains 11.09 g of sodium chloride and 573 g of water.
a) What is the mass % of sodium chloride
b) If 19.50 mL of your solutions weighs 19.728 g, what is the density (in g/cc).


**I'm not even a science major, but to fulfill my requirements, the university stuck me in this class. I'm trying to get out, but have to do this first assignment just in the rare case that I can't find another science for non-science majors class to fulfill my requirements

I have never done one before, from what I understand is that you give them your banking information. I am just alittle worried about the person I only know through ebay having my info.

Anyone have any possitive or negative experiences?

  S-Video Help

Ok - I bought an s-video cable to connect my dvd player to my tv. I have 2 dvd players (one is about 9 months old - the other is 2 months but plays divx and avi files).

My problem is - I cannot get a picture when I try to use the second DVD player. I went through the menu thinking I could change the settings, but no luck.

Any suggestions?

By the way - I did the s-video dvd to tv hook in the bedroom and the difference in the picture is amazing.
