I appreciate the effort with this piece of music, but I've always thought it was a bit of a mess - some nice moments, but just doesn't work for me

I'm sure many on the board love it though - what are your thoughts about this?

Has anyone here won the Hip tickets lottery for any of the shows? If so, how were your seats?

Just came across a cool interview with Geddy Lee on CBC Music sharing his thoughts about the Hip. Seems like it's gonna be part of the Kingston broadcast.

Here's a list of recordings captured during this final tour. I'll update as the the recordings are released. If I missed anything, by all means, please let us know! Huge thanks to all the tapers and those that help the tapers either by blocking, muling (not needed at the Hip shows), mastering, being quiet and generally supporting tapers! I remember back in 2000 when M@W came out, the band and Canoe's network gave a fan at each show a camcorder and let them record. After each show, Jam News network would post one song from each show, which took place largely across Canada and the Northern U.S. The splash page was "Hip Fans@Work". It stayed active for a few years but has long since vanished. Does anyone have these clips? I have always maintained that every performance of Long Time Running I've ever heard before or since pales compared to the one recorded live in Detroit during this special web documentation of the tour. "Grace, Too" from Prince, George was also excellent, and is found on you tube. As was a smoking version of "Fire in the Hole" (which I cannot find either).

Anyhow, if any/all of these links/clips are available, please let me know how to access them, especially LTR.

Anyone notice he's playing the acoustic guitar a whole lot more, especially in some of the early songs of the setlist? Songs which he's never used an acoustic before - Courage, 50MC (songs 1 and 2 in Vanc#2), Twist (song 1 Van #1), Opiated (although that might be traditionally played with an acoustic).

Wonder if it has anything to do with the volume at the beginning of each show, until Gord or maybe even Paul gets adjusted to the volume?

Sorry to make a new thread for this... More tickets being released at 1pm today for Toronto shows.

I am considering driving downtown to try my luck in person at the box office..Though that keeps me from trying from my office on the computer and phone at same time.

Anyone have any thoughts... I'd hate to get down there to a lineup and be out of luck.

I've had no luck getting tickets so far, really hoping to change my luck!
