Anyone else been listening to these guys? I saw them open for Arcade Fire and really enjoyed the show.

Picked up the new album on Friday and it's hardly left my cd player since then. I didn't really like it all that much first time through but something there brought me back for more. It grew more and more on me on each listen.

Reminds me a bit of Modest Mouse, Arcade Fire, Gomez and the one lead singer sounds a lot like Hawksley Workman.

Good stuff, definitly worth a listen. :thumb:

What are the best movies you've seen lately? I'd have to say Steve Griffin: The Untold Story, Final Fantasy 7: Advent Children, and it's not that new but Revenge of the sith...I guess I don't watch enough movies...

It seems appropriate with the recent talk of the '93 Jays that Tom Cheek passed away today. A man who for the better part of 27 years, did not miss one Jays game, died of cancer, at age 66.

It doesn't seem right that he wasn't enshrined into the Hall of Fame while he was alive, but he will likely be inducted in death.

Hi kids!! Haven't been around for a while. Missing the band bad!!

Went to NH last night to see String Cheese Incindent. They had this great warm up band Chris Berry and Panjea. Amazing beat and I was dancing up a storm. They have 2 dancers and one came into the crowd and grabbed 3 girls to dance on stage...one of them being me. I had on a Tragically Hip T-shirt. My friends were right down front. This guy next to them is from Canada and is freaking when he sees my shirt. (He had a camera and took a picture of me. I'd love to get a copy of that pic!! Bob was taking some photo's but he was off to the side.)

Then all the members of SCI (except Kyle) came up on stage too and it was this big dance party. Awesome experience...

WHEN is the band going to tour???????????????????????????

I received an e-mail from Universal Music Canada ( <!-- w --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.umusic.ca">www.umusic.ca</a><!-- w --> ) that states The Hip are releasing an e-single video of Poets on Tuesday, October 11, 2005. I am not sure what an e-single video is. Does anyone else know?

Click on the link below which will take you to the new releases page of Universal Music Canada. Find where the Oct. 11th releases begin and then find The Hip listed in alphabetical order on that date. Here is the link:

Anyone on here ever have anything shipped from amazon.com or a similar site to Europe? I ask 'cos I'm unsure whether to order Hipeponymous from amazon and have it shipped here to Poland or whether to have it sent from a friend in Canada. Anything to get it quicker, I think...anyway, any help, much appreciated...

Very new and unexperienced with bitTorrent, so heres the problem, i just downloaded the 2002-10-16-Toronto show and dont know how to watch it. It's completley downloaded but i just cant figure out how to watch it, any help would be great thanks
