is this fantastic box set known as Hipeponymous...sitting at work right now listening to the cd's, and all i can is wow..this production is fantastic..you'll never listen to your Fully Completly CD again...Looking for a place to happen has a different ending, the sound on all the songs, but especially the FC tracks sound so friggin good.the packaging is fantastic...the other new song is..different...mellow...i have only listened once to it, so it will take a few more listens i'm sure..but as for now...i'm in heaven..can't wait to see the DVD's!!!!

Hey all,

For a while I have been trying to track down the shirt that Johnny is wearing in many of the promotional pics for IBE. I always thought it was a cool shirt. ANyway, I finally found a website that has a shirt that is very similar.

Sometimes this guy is spot on, other times he's a total jackass, depends who you like I guess. He takes a shot at the Hip on page 4, its not nice. Its pretty funny reading, though I don't agree with much of it, I mean the guy bashes Zeppelin for cripes sakes!!! Confusedhock:

Alright this may be a pathetically obvious question to some of you, but i think it's just one of those things i unfortunatley dont know about (never seen rocky horror picture show etc.) but in the old live boot's who is Gord constantly refering to when he uses the name "rock"? thanks.

Sounded like an I&I sort of thing with the band taking calls, emails, etc and the station spinning tons of TTH...

Gord sounds earnest, almost sad, with his post adolescent high pitch and the old Van Morrison style of vocal expression. The inflection in his voice when he signs "It was my duty as an honest man... doing what I can" is phenomenal.

His frustration comes through with "I've got my old mans eyes and a dusty old picture of you."

The stagger in the line "I can feel you in the marrow... of ma bones" is just killer.

Bobby's (I assume it's Bobby) strumming almost adds another layer of percussion, and Paul's vocals are, well like always, the real essential element.

It's also cool to hear the "fields of lavender" verse Gord took to singing at the end of Little Bones in 1998.

This is a kick ass blues rock song that has just leaped over Get Back Again and Montreal as my favourite of the unreleased.

Ya gotta check it out if you've never heard it.

Walked the Hudson from Christopher street to Battery Park on Sunday. Walked back up Broadway to NYU and my truck.

In my heart and in my soul, my home is that island.

Down load it and listen...I saw Jemimah Puddle Duck in Denville, NJ, then went with a friend to Manhattan and saw funk and jazz until 4:30am. Waked and Baked to The Village...a grand and beautiful place to be. Rambled the streets and hit Jemimah PuddleDuck and the John Ginty Band again on Saturday night...

Well, I suppose its my big high school year, the grad year. Now I was discussing with one of my friends about yearbook grad write ups, and I knew from the start that I want a Hip quote that is legitamatly cool and meaningful, not comical. My friend, who's not even a big hip fan, allready shottied "No dress rehearsal..." so I was wondering if anybody else had some suggestions as to what I should put as quote to wrap up my grad write up. Thanks for the feedback (if I get any...) :thumb:
