I dont know if this has been posted before or not, I had nothing to base my search on. I found this article and a painting of Gord that I found very interesting.   Tracker Problem-Invalid Menu Handle

I tried to download the Watchmen torrents this morning and everytime I try to open the file I get an error box pop up and it specifies the path first
C:/mydocuments/temporary/etc..etc../(I cant remember it all) and in the box it also says "Invalid Menu Handle" Can anyone explain this?

Just wondering if there is still somewhere I can download the 2 free alternate tracks that were available a long time ago. They were:

Gord Downie - 11th Fret (Alternate) - Alternate Takes

I had them on my hard-drive, but lost them in the great crash of '04....

  Tonight was awesome - That Night In Toronto

This is long - well longer than anything I ever want to read.
Well, here goes.
I have never really read anything about the Toronto concert - I have really tried to avoid it - ever since it was announced - and it turns out that it was a pretty damn good decision. (except the fact I decided not to go - damn I am pretty dumb)

About two years ago I got a surround sound system - and I got it home and put the speakers where they go in the room.
Well, about four weeks ago - I finally decided to hook them up - you see they have never been plugged in or anything.
That just so happens that was the day I was going out to buy the Hipeponyomuus set. Well, um, what better reason to have concert sound.

I got home and put in the DVD - and danced my ass off in my darkened living room to most of The Hip's set. Damn it was a great time. But then it was late and my wife was just about home, so I stopped.
Trust me I look pretty fly for a white guy dancing at a Hip show - and it is just as "interesting" at home.


Well, tonight was part two for me - and well, it was worth the wait.
My beautiful wife went out tonight.
First off - me and my buddies Jack and Diet Pepsi said hello and we headed to the second half of the show - I started at Poets - where our last experience ended. And Wow - boom - I love suround sound.
Don't tell me what the poets are doing.
What a great show - from old to new and back again.
I was blown away when it ended, with Little Bones - but then - cool second encore - I had no idea - Three Pistols ended it - great, great show.
Wait - what the hell - ANOTHER encore - THREE - damn - this show gets better and better - holy shit.
I had no idea they were anywhere near three encores - Blow at High Dough.
What a great night - What a great show.
And it went on, and on, and on.
Well worth the wait.
Thank you guys.

well..it had to be brought up eventually, and i'm bored at work so i thought why not today....

1. Robert Plant "mighty rearragner"...proving that he doesn't need Jimmy to make a "zep-esque" brilliant album...plant as only he can do mixes world beats, techno rhythm, zep guitars..and his best work since the seventies..he's sounding better than ever, the new songs were mind blowing live, and he looks so friggin happy with his new band...ten out of ten!!..songs to check out "let the four winds blow" "takamba" "all the kings horses" "the enchanter"

2. Fiona Apple "extraordinary machine"..well worth the six year wait..there's nobody like her...she hits notes on this cd that just kill me...the passion in which she sings...i just hope it's not another six years between albums...songs to check out.. "please please please" "get him back" "extraordinary machine" "window"

3. White Stripes "get behind me satan"...in what could have been a guitar driven "let's make the masses happy" album, is the complete opposite..and thank god...these 2 never fail to amaze me, and from start to finish it's a wild ride....

4. Queens of the Stone Age "lullabies to paralyze"...from the opening notes sung by Mark Lanegan, this is an instant Rock classic..they're often called stoner rock, which i think is an unfair label..true, a little green wouldn't hurt your listen, but songs In My head, and burn the witch are great all on their own...a very exciting listen....

ok..so as i'm posting this,something has come up..must return to this later!!!!

  Too late for a New Year's Announcement?

I need to make plans for New Years, and it's getting to the point where a Hip announcement is exceedingly unlikely. Does anyone remember the dates around which the Hip announced their New Years shows in the past? Less than a month away, is there still a chance?
