If/when this comes out, I'll be all over this like hair products on Jose Theodore. Unlimited online storage? What a sweet way to back up all of the digital music files I've got. I know there are similar services out there, but I find their storage limits not at all practical.

Google is the Pearl Jam of the 'net. Whatever they do, they do it right.

Documentary about Enron, and how they robbed millions of dollars from Millions of people.

They created fake businesses to take on Enron's large amount of dept, they caused the California power outages, then made huge profits selling the much needed electicity for outrageous prices.

CEO's and executives made million dollars in bonuses for making budgets, that didn't exhist....

I've never sought a love interest online, but I find myself in the in the embryonic stages of a relationship which, seemingly by fate, began in cyberspace. I realize that my posting about this opens me up to all sorts of jibing, but quite frankly, I don't really care.

I am completely blown away by her; we seem to be a terrific match. We share many interests, attitudes, and personality traits, and have learned a great deal about one another through e-mailings and telephone conversations - and done so perhaps more quickly than we might otherwise have in a more conventional, face-to-face encounter. We've exchanged photos, and like what we see. [And yes - she does know and like The Hip!] It would be a colossal understatement to say we are both ecstatic and very eager to meet in person.

This weekend, we plan to do just that. Perhaps the only drawback is the distance separating us, which is a good day’s drive....hardly an obstacle when everything feels so right. Though I must say that the newness and unfamiliarity of such an experience brings with it a measure of trepidation -- the process is essentially backwards compared to every other romantic encounter I’ve experienced. The physical, interpersonal chemistry, which is often what draws two together, remains an unknown quantity. The next step is more or less a leap of faith.

So why am I posting this? Well, I guess I’m seeking some encouragement to settle my nerves, or perhaps some advice that might better prepare me for what I’m about to dive into. Where better than an online community to find some who might have some experience with this sort of thing?

Has anyone here experienced a similar circumstance? If so, was there any aspect you hadn’t considered that might have been helpful to be cognizant of before that first visit? Any input would be greatly appreciated....

Ladies and/or Gentlemens! The Sam Roberts Band blew the muthafukkin' roof offa tha Monte Carlo @ the 3-mile tonight in good ol' Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada!

I have just returned home and am still vibrating from the energy Sammy and the boys injected into this shit-ass town! I don't know why, but James, Josh, Sam, Dave, and especially Eric were ON tonight. Fresh off the bustling metropolis of New Glasgow, Nova Scotia, Canada, SRB was primed tonight to deliver their best performance I have personally witnessed in 4 tries (SJ 3 times, Austin, TX once). If you haven't had the pleasure, check 'em out soon.

Before I forget, The Novaks are an East Coast Force to be reckoned with as well. They opened the show with AUTHORITY. Great live set. Straight outta St. John's, Newfoundland! we had an album preview special on our station tonite, and this cd sounds amazing..obviously very floyd sounding, but that great classic floyd..great harmonies by graham nash and david crosby as well..during his interview he also said a floyd reunion tour "could happen..you never know"

Mine would be "Soup" by Blind Melon.

It's a shame that most people think of them as nothing more than that band with that catchy song and the Bee-girl video. Having only put 2 studio albums out, and 1 album of extras after Shannon Hoon died, I can easily say they are right up there in my top 5 favorite bands. Soup is hard to describe because it is all over the place musically. Let me just say it is music with such depth, heart, soul and intelligence. I listened to it again on the weekend and as per usual, it filled me with such overwhelming emotion.

It's a treat for sure.
