I'll ask for ideas.
What shows would you like to see the Hip put out from the archive.

Myself to get a clean copy of shows I've been to would be my first choice.

My first show was 4/29/1995. I'd also like 10/19/2004 from Rochester which has an awsome version of 100th Mer. plus Wheatkings was great in that Gord forgot how to start the song and seemed a bit humbled by it.
I think the show I would like most is the Buffalo show 11/?/96 (forgot the date). I missed this show but I would believe it was recorded because it was the day before/after/around the Detroit show that became Live Between Us which is an amazing live album in itself. I have boots of all the shows above, but a clean SBD show would be killer.

So I was in Superstore tonight, returning and exchanging some stuff. As I was waiting to talk to the customer service lady, a young dude, who worked there, asked her what he should do with the bbq over there? She told him to call the manager, which he did. As I was talking to the customer service lady, I heard the young dude exclaim, "Really, take it to the compactor"? I perked up and asked the lady if it was heading for the garbage, and she said it sure was. Apparently the burner was defective, so the guy returned it for another. I had even opened it and looked inside while I was waiting in line...the grills hadn't even been cooked on. I was shocked and quite appalled that they were going to just toss it in the garbage compactor, so I asked her if I could buy it. She said that was against store policy. I asked to speak to a manger, and so she called one. A lady came a short while later and I explained what had just happened and she concurred that it was store policy to garbage defective merchandise. I explained that for $25 I could replace the burner and have a brand new bbq, if she'd only sell me this one. She hummed and hawed and finally agreed and said she'd give it to me for $125 (it retails for $200) I told her I would only pay $50, to which she countered with $75. I said that 2 minutes ago it was heading for the trash, so $50 is a pretty good deal for the both of us.

Anyways, I got it for $50 and after getting it all set up, I have discovered that not a goddamned thing is wrong with it. The only flaw is the plastic drink holder on the front is broken. I probably would have taken it off anyways, and when it's removed, you don't even notice it's gone.

Listening to NOIS, and I realize Gordie is singing Over the Neptune/Mesh Gear Fox.

For so long I swore that the line he was singing at the end of Bobcaygeon during 2004 was from this song ("and if you do, i'll come back and marry you"), but I had no way of knowing if it was just a crazy coincidence...now I know that Gordie is a good ol fashioned GBV fan.

Not only that but I have this amazing gem of a recording, thank you so much seanbonner for the post and chris of course for the tracker.

This has made my week.

I was wondering if anybody knew if their was a particular book written by Hugh Mclennan that spawned the idea in Mr. Downie's mind to write Courage. Any help on this topic would be greatly appreciated.

At least we know what the Oasis Fan Club was doing with their time when the voting was open. Voting early and voting often.

I like this quote:

I ordered my tickets through Maple Music and the email I got when I placed the order stated "Tickets will be delivered no later than two weeks before the date of the show via a traceable mail service."

Since the show is only 13 days away, I was just wondering if anyone's tickets had shown up yet?
