not sure if the writer heard the song, or the band read the book.

Just booked this hotel for the Fort York show, just wondering if anyone ever stayed here or knows anything about the place.

That's right... popping the cherry this weekend at the June 24th show at Fort York. I've been a fan of the Hip for a while now, but I havn't made it to a show... so I guess I can't really call myself a "fan" until I see them live! haha

Watch for me... I'll be the guy buying tonnes of swag! :oops:

Any words of wisdom for a newbie?

Maybe this is a question that has been asked already. Is there any thought about trying to set up a meeting point before the Fort York shows?
In Pittsburgh we met up for a few cold ones and it was really cool to see some faces that we chat with here.
I have tickets for the Saturday show and when talking to some other members it seems that many are going on Saturday.'
Any suggestions??

Just had my ass kicked by Al Gore's new documentary about global warming "An Inconvenient Truth". Scariest movie I've ever seen. I knew things were bad, but holy shit! Everybody should go see this flick.

Does anyone here know what brand of guitars Gord Downie plays? In particular the small-bodied acoustic I've seen him play many times.
I want one. Any help would be much appreciated!

No Calgary so far, but Edmonton is not a bad drive....

I wonder as I sit here, reading all of the show reviews from the past week:

I'll only see the Hip once this summer, next week in Charlottetown, while a bunch of people here have seen them 3, 4 even 5 times in the past-to-next week... is a show more special if it's a one-off, or do you prefer seeing them three nights in a row and still come away with full enjoyment? Does anyone get what I'm asking?
