doesn't come out until july 25th, but the new single "saving grace" is ass-kicking!! really bluesy and gritty..great guitar work, and petty sounds amazing..can't wait..2006 has been such a great year for music

I seriously don't get it. Unless your band requires the audience to be showered with beer (although that would be pretty cool), I'm sure you can get booked at an all ages venue. My biggest 21+ complaint, I guess, is The Hip's American booking company. Out of the 7 shows they've played over the years, 6 of them have been at 21+ venues. I know San Diego is probably the worst place to play in the US (trust me, I've played here), but how hard is it to think about the underage fans for a second and just play an all ages venue? Is it because of the whole "intimate experience with the crowd"? Because I could name off a few all ages places that hardly fill up to 150 with acts bigger than The Hip. I know, I know, I'm being a Negative Nancy. I could just get a fake ID or something, but there's no way in hell I look 21, and the closest Canadian shows are in Vancouver, which is about a two day drive from here.

I don't know. If they could get booked at the Sports Arena in 1995, why couldn't they get booked there again?
