A few months ago, I uploaded the 2nd Mod Club show to the tracker. It was the In Between Evolution
premiere show, but not the fm broadcast. It had been recorded inside the Mod Club, by a mystery recorder,
"Pooch". Chris brought up the odd lineage of the recording, which included very expensive equipment, and it
was a guess that Pooch must have either worked at the club, or was part of the crew, to be able to get a
recording through the mixing desk.

Since we had no info on who Pooch was, I decided to spend an evening scouring live music web-sites and forums,
looking to find the person who recorded it. On the furthurnet forums, I found a user registered as Pooch, who
had posted 8 times in 2004. There was an MSN address associated with the username, so I took that down, and
sent a blind email to this person, hoping he was the one who recorded the 2nd Mod Club show.

It was him, and to my surprise, he had also recorded the 1st night. It turns out that our man Pooch was the
house monitor engineer at the Mod Club. Since the band was taper friendly, he decided to set up a few mics,
run them through the mixer, then directly into his computer.

I met him recently, and he gave me copies of both shows. When asked if it was alright for me to share this
recording with the fans, his reply was, "Share the music, share the smiles!"

It turns out that this show was an industry only gig, for Universal Music, and partly a rehearsal gig for the
Tragically Hip's radio premiere the following night. The setlist is great, but the sound is not as good as the
following night's show.

Is this worth buying? I don't consider myself a Black Crowes fanatic, but I do own three of their albums and I enjoy a lot of their stuff. I've read some fantastic reviews of these discs, and I'm just wondering whether or not it's for hardcore collectors only.
