Hey just wondering if anyone out there is making the trip too montreal from the Toronto/London area? I have 2 tickets and would rather call pool up there if possible!

Most if not all of the shows hold maximum 1000 people. So if tix cost 59.50 each concert is about $59500. They probably could have sold the tix for $159.50 and sold out each show. When you minus all the crap that goes with each show that costs money like travel and accomidation, road crews etc. The Hip really don't seem to making very much money. This is just one more example of how The Hip really appreciate their fans and are not in it for the cash.

Is anyone on the board a fan of his work?

I think that some of his observations about popular culture are both brilliant and hilarious. Whenever I consider doing my graduate work in cultural studies, I feel as though it would be pointless, because Klosterman has already said everything I think, but is much wittier and well versed. He has contributed to Spin and written Sex, Drugs and Cocoa Puffs, Fargo Rock City and Killing Yourself to Live.

He has a new book out, which is a collection of thoughts, interviews an essays spanning the last ten years. It is titled Chuck Klosterman IV: A Decade of Curious People and Dangerous Ideas. I, personally, cannot wait to get my hands on it.

Anyone have any opinions on the ease of getting tickets when you're physically in line at the box office versus trying to hammer ticketmaster online? I've been doing the online thing now for quite a few shows, and I don't think my heart can handle another round of furry at my limited success.

It drives me nuts that I have to battle for tickets against any ol' yahoo in the world with an internet connection and the know-how to peddle tix on eBay. Please don't tell me these scalpers are actually going to get what their asking for (eBay buy it now for $250 US...wtf@!!!!).

Just had a cool idea for a game if anyone wants to play. Basically you use pictures to depict song or album titles and then others guess what it its, some will be pretty easy but hopefully you can think up some creative ones as well. If its possible try to keep the pictures small..
