Now that I'm going (as are some other people here thanks to MAV!). Just wondering for anyone who has ever been to one of these before (Edge One Night Stand), what are they like? Does the band usually play a full set? As far as I know, it's not live to air... so I guess it won't be like the Club 279 and Mod Club shows a couple of years back.

So, it’s an exciting time to be a Hip fan right now. With the new album streamed on thehip.com for the past few days now and with the actual record going on sale Tuesday, not to mention the tons of pub the album has received on television, things are and will continue to be busy. Therefore, I thought I’d post this a bit early to sort of get it out of the way.

For our “opening” countdown show, we’ll keep it fairly simple. For the last 15-20 years now, Hip fans have always awaited the day of a new album - that excitement and anxiety that comes with hearing new material from our favourite band. You know, getting up early and driving to the record store, grabbing the album (hopefully paying for it) and then trying to tear that god damn plastic off. I honestly think they make some of these CD’s so hard to open just to excite you even more. Kidding aside, it’s a very good feeling to get home and pop it into your player and hear the beautiful sound of new Hip. My question to you this week is, over all the years and all the albums, what was your favourite “opening” song? That’s right, sum up all the albums and decide which No.1 on the CD was the best in your opinion.

This time, you have a longer time to vote. The first show premieres Tuesday October 24th. I really would like as much people to vote as possible. I only got 2 people that responded to this idea. This show is for you so please vote.
