I just booked a couple of beds at the hostel Global Village Backpackers in downtown Toronto for the Phoenix show, anyone ever stay here?

Any other suggestions on cheap accommodations in Toronto.

  Why are Hip CDs so cheap?

I've noticed that Hip CDs are so damn cheap brand new (albums before IVL can be easily had for less than $12 CDN). Does anyone know why this is? I haven't seen IVL or IBE at such a price, but with the new album out, will they go for cheap too now?

I'm not complaining, by the way, it's great for a student like me to be able to own their back catalogue without spending a fortune. But I kinda feel like I'm ripping the band off. I mean, the spectacular quality of their music for such a low price... it's almost unjust!

that we get a group together and follow them. Little did I know that this
suggestion would turn into the trip of a lifetime with 7 fellow Hip fans from

out all our gear! 6 cameras and 5 audio rigs were set-up to capture the evening.

okay, we're all here because, to varying degrees, we've supported the site, so, lets have our own little discussion here.

The idea: Pick one Hip and one Non Hip song, to make a theoretical soundtrack for The Luxury.

For me, as I'm beginning

Bobcaygeon - obvious I know, but probably still my favourite Hip song!

Non Hip: Teddy Thompson - Shine So Bright The first song on his second album and a great statement of inetent.

Is this going to be released over here in the near future? Best I can find it is on import at amazon for £17.99 which is over $30 US. :?
Now I don't mind paying this to get hold of the CD but I know there's more than a few of the not quite so keen fans who will not pay out that kind of money for it.

What does everyone think the setlists will be like for the Toronto shows?
Kinda like the Horseshoe show last night where they played the whole new album or only play 5-6 new songs and mix it up like the Summer Fling Tour?
