Hey y'all.

I've decided to make my own hip tab site. I started going through all my tabs (that I could find) and correcting or improving them. I've done everything from Music @ Work to World Container. Check it out:

What are my personal suggestions, you ask???
The Dark Canuck, Lake Fever, the main riff in Lonely End Of The Rink and Wild Mountain Honey. Also complete versions of Heaven is a Better Place Today and Goodnight Josephine.

I'll get the rest up in the not-too-distant future. Sorry for a crappy geocities site, but the price was right!!!!

Anyone else into these guys? I think they've been one of the most consistently awesome bands of the last 20 years, and this new record is one of the best I've heard all year. I first became a fan of them when I saw them on the '97 ARA tour and I've since picked up many of their albums, my favorite being 1992's "Kiko". I've seen them live a couple of times as well, and they never fail to blow me away with their musicianship. If you like your rock n' roll with a lot of heart, soul, intelligence, and fantastic playing, then do yourself a favor and pick up this new record. "The Town" might be one of the best album closers I've ever heard.

He just did a short phone interview and is supposed to be back to talk some more next hour. Later they are going to be broadcasting the Hip's set from the Cactus Festival this past summer.

That crowd last night made it almost impossible to believe that the leafs call that same arena home.

I checked the set lists for Hip shows and found a show I saw in Seattle was missing. They played at the grunge pit called The Off Ramp. There must of been a couple of hundred people. Does anyone remeber this show, or was it all just a bitchen dream?

I have allready made a rough draft of a letter that I am going to send to Tyrone. For some reason, this entire story really has left its mark on me.

I gotta say when I first heard the album, Fly and Last Night...were by far my least favourite songs on WC. Fly is rather mundane to me, not very different from anything else the Hip have done. I think the lyrics are good, but musically it is relatively boring. It seemed as though I knew what each chord change was going to be before it happened. The only part I thought that stood out musically was the bridge, where it keeps building. So many people love this song but I just don't get it. After I saw them play it live in Calgary I liked it more, but it's still one of my least favourite songs on WC. I find there are far more exciting songs on the new album, specifically Yer not the Ocean, The Drop Off, World Container and Family Band. It seems as though many people think Fly is an "instant classic" but I would beg to differ.

Does CBC show games in HD?

Hi,
Just wondering are you allowed to bring cameras to the show? I'm stopping in to buy a disposable anyway on the way to the show as I need it for a wedding tomorrow, so I'll be bringing it to the show. What's the policy on that now? Do bands really care now that most cell phones have cameras on them. I guess I will see what other people do. If I see them taking pictures and security does nothing then I guess I'll whip it out of my purse!
