Alright, so my parents tell me that I'm not allowed to go to anymore concerts until after March Break, due to me going on a trip to Europe then. Don't get me wrong, I don't want to seem spoiled, but even though Europe will be amazing, I was pretty disappointed I'd miss one of my favourite bands ever, The Hip, in a normal concert setting (I saw them at the CBC taping earlier in 2006, which was amazing, and something I give MAv another shoutout for, thank you! ).

However, I open up my presents this morning to find.... 2 tickets for the Copps Coliseum show!!!!! I was honestly in complete shock, and I'm reallly excited for it! I'm on Fl9, Row 41. How are those seats? Is it general admission or not? I have no idea, I haven't been on the site in a few months. And plus, Buck 65 is opening! He's damn awesome, I'm looking forward to seeing him as well!

So I just had to come and tell the Hipbasers about this, and I hope you all have a happy holiday!!! See you in 2007, Hip!

Im an idiot and wanted to say thanks for those of you (Chris and eburggraaf ) that have been helping me learn this. For me its not as easy and reading the FAQ because its a new language all together. So anyway I have a question. Some how I DL'd the same show twice and messed up my ratio. Is there anyway to fix that? Im seeded for a show now so Im waiting for someone to DL it but there are also a lot of others seeding it too. Do I have any options to help my ratio since I messed it up?

my computer keeps telling me i need the update, so i download it, but it never actually takes and when i go to a site that needs it again, it says i need to download it again!!! How do i get it to take????

They say that the desertion rate along the CN rail line was highest in Ontario while the track was being built. Temptation was abundant, the Canadian sheild was a bitch to blast through, and there were plenty of places where errant and undiscplined workers could simply quit and run-off.

I'm sure that when the track was being built, in the shadow of what is now Yorkdale Shopping Centre, most unmotivated workers would step into the open field that now houses this commercial catheter. As they smoked their opium, the visions of a Century hence would have filled them with such fear that they would do all they could to stop progress in this corner of the Province. That's why they deserted.

Somehow, they knew. Somehow, they were cursed with images of the future. They could tell that here, in this vile place, an unmitigated agony would exist each holiday season.

Warnings must have been etched in the stone near the site. Calls to avoid building a Republic for Bannana's where gift cetificates require a two hour wait must have seemed baffeling to the locals. But now we understand.

There must have been forewarning. If there's a God, he or she must have done everything within divine power to alert people of what would one day happen here.

I have seen Hell my friends. It is the concorse level when 50% off is announced at Mexx. There was pushing and shoving as if the last life boat was splashing down. It is an electronics shop that features iPod give-aways and a species of shopper who screams upon hearing it. It is a parking lot so over-crowded; it allows one time to read most any book cover to cover as if it were a Macleans magazine.

I have seen Hell my friends. Its colour is red, and its theme song is "Santa Baby."

Does anyone remember The Hip coverband, "Road Apples"?
They eventually became "Vegabond Groove".
