k... here's my idea:

Find a common multi-track recording program which a few interested people could buy/download. I play guitar so I could lay down a guitar track or two or three.

Since I don't own a drum set or a bass and my voice sounds like a mule being punched in the... anyways, I can't sing, I send the file to someone who plays drums or bass or sings. They add their track and bingo bango - We record some hip songs!!! Could be fun and intesting.

Let me know what you think or email me and maybe we can start pounding out some details.

i recently heard the hips cover of "It Makes No Difference" by the band and it was extremely good. I was wondering what other songs they would do a good job at... any thoughts on a good song?

Front row & Meet & Great action for upcoming Can Tour

Chris do you have any experience with Airport wireless products. I want to hook up my iMac to my Stereo so I can stream iTunes through my home Stereo. When I renovated my basement I had my contractor install a conduit from my computer to my stereo. I can run an optical cable from the iMac to the stereo, I just have to fish the wire through the conduit ( which could be a pain). Then I saw the airport express and thought that might work well. Do you have any knowledge or have you used this product?

also, I tried ripping some DVD's using MactheRipper, it rips them fine. They seem so burn fine as well but if I go to play it on the Mac DVD player is says Supported Disk not available. I have wasted three disks trying to get it to work but nothing. Is there something I am doing wrong? I have searched online for answers but nothing. Any help is appreciated.

Police fans may soon be walking on the moon again

Sting is in talks to re-form The Police and tour with the group - 30 years after they were formed.

The band, who rank alongside The Rolling Stones and The Beatles among the greats of rock, are considering playing a series of dates in the UK next summer.

Consisting of Sting on bass and vocals, drummer Stewart Copeland and guitarist Andy Summers, the group have been in discussions for months.

They became one of the biggest bands of the Eighties with hits including Walking On The Moon, Every Breath You Take, Don't Stand So Close To Me and Message In A Bottle.

News that they are re-forming will surprise fans as Sting, 55, has always resolutely opposed the move in the past.

Sources say rehearsals have been pencilled in to take place before Sting begins the February leg of his latest European tour and after Copeland has finished his stint as a judge in the BBC celebrity duet show Just The Two Of Us.

The record label, A&M, is believed to be planning a special anniversary release in June and the tour dates would coincide with that.

A source said: 'They were intending to announce it in January after all the tour dates had been finalised.

'They are speaking to venues about booking dates in May and June. Everyone who knows about it is incredibly excited because they were a legendary band.'

A spokeswoman for A&M confirmed discussions had taken place but denied there were any firm dates for concerts.

She said: 'Next year is the 30th anniversary of the release of Roxanne, the first Police single. It is our intention to mark the anniversary by doing something special with the band's catalogue of songs.

'Needless to say, everyone is hopeful the band will support our plans and while early discussions have taken place, nothing has been decided.'

Miles Copeland, the former manager of The Police and brother of Stewart, said: 'It's the 30th anniversary and there has been mention of this for some time, but I can't comment.'

Stewart formed The Police in 1977 with Sting. Miles recognised the power of their blend of pop, punk and reggae and got them a record deal when he heard Roxanne, the first of many worldwide hits.

It's funny watching the top 100 videos on Much Music this evening. It should be titled: "Top 100 videos of all time as voted by the current Much Music staff"

No Hip of course, yet, California Love (don't get me wrong, good tune and video) made the top 30, that was in '95 when Nautical Disaster was getting played on Much constantly. Ah well.... Maybe Much More Music could have a real top 100 countdown. What is the best video of all time anyway? And what is the best HIP video? I'd say Nautical.
