Just watched this live on CBC Newsworld. Jesus, that was emotional. For those who didn't see it, I'm sure CBC will have the video up shortly.

If anybody is proficient in photoshop and wouldn't mind making a semi-high res image of the Man Machine Poem album cover with the baby wearing a Santa hat, I would be very grateful.

I don't know if there are any fans of this band, but their new album American Band is great. With the current political calamity taking place down here in the States, I've found Patterson Hood and Mike Cooley's thoughtful songwriting to be great mental/emotional medicine...and the music rocks. DBT are excellent musicians. (I sometimes think of them as the Southern Tragically Hip. LOL)

Also, In Between Evolution is near and dear to me, as it was the album/tour that catapulted my Hip fandom.

I don't know what else to say about this show that probably hasn't been said already. This is already one of my favourite Hip recordings of all time, and I hope you enjoy it just as much as I have!

Earlier this month, CMW announced that the members of RUSH would be the 2017 recipients of the Allan Slaight Humanitarian Spirit Award at Canadian Music Week in April. Part of this prestigious Humanitarian award includes $40,000 made to the recipient’s charity of choice.
The members of Rush – Geddy Lee, Alex Lifeson, Neil Peart – have unanimously decided to direct the funds to the Gord Downie Fund for Brain Cancer Research at Sunnybrook..
“We are pleased to direct this generous donation from the Allan Slaight Humanitarian award to the Gord Downie Fund for Brain Cancer Research at Sunnybrook. Many Canadian families have been affected either directly or indirectly by this terrible disease. Through Gord’s courageous efforts this cause is now getting the attention it desperately deserves. Just got notice that I won this through a charity auction for Canadian Tire Jumpstart program. It's a commemorative 26x30 print for the last show in Kingston with a plaque of the nights setlist. Not the best quality picture here, but I'll post a better one when it arrives. Gonna look good up on the wall.

I was talking with someone earlier and this store came up. They had a few things I was trying to track down when they closed earlier this year. Anyone know where all their stock went or how I can contact the last owner? I believe Mike Star was the main guy but he passed???
