Thanks to everyone who participated in the voting to determine the champion of the EP.
In the final round, Small Town Bringdown received the fewest number of votes and has been determined to be the strongest song on the EP.
On to Up to Here!

Having determined Small Town Bringdown as the champion of the EP, we are now on to the first full length release, Up to Here.
Again, choose the song you think is the weakest on the album. After 48 hours, the three songs with the most votes will be eliminated and we'll do round two.
In order for a song to be removed, it must receive at least 10% of the total votes in a round.

Although I have already ordered IBE and WC to complete my vinyl collection, for anyone who needs it all, they've just announced the boxset:

As the title reads, I am desperately seeking a pair of these original leggings for a project. Would like to find a pair that are brand new or lightly used.

I just noticed that Gord's Secret Path film will be part of the programming for "A Celebration of Nations" happening in St. Catharines Sept 8-10. There will be 2 showings and it's free admission:
Saturday 9th Sept 6:30
Sunday 10th Sept. 5:00

If the EP grabbed my attention, Up To Here really stopped me in my tracks. I think like what some expressed in the EP conversation, there's a lot of "time and place influence". If you got into the band at a later date, these earlier albums maybe sound like relics.
One of my curiosities with this album is how they landed Don Smith as producer? At the time Smith has been producing and engineering with bands like Tom Petty, Travelling Wilburys, etc. The Hip stand out as a smalltime band in comparison to who else he was working with.
Just some quick thoughts -- I'll have to listen to the album again more closely.
Blow -- never got tired of seeing this song live, and there was an extended period where it fell off set lists. That closing solo became epic, still pretty good on the recorded version. Maybe I'm just missing it on the EP or it's lost in the mix, but interesting how much Rob embraces the slide on this album.
I'll Believe in You -- short spoken word section still makes me laugh. It's a bit of a middling song, but I appreciate Gord trying out some different vocal styles and Paul's background brings it together.
Any time I hear New Orleans I mentally add "I had a job before this...". I don't know if they ever made a particularly good video, but I recall this one was pretty neat. Never quite figured out what was going on with the guy and all the jars, but it had a neat look.
38 Years -- most surprising thing about this song it how it fell off the map for set lists. Last time I saw it was Kingston DFN tour, and even then it was a rarity. I still rank it highly as a "story-telling" song -- done better with examples like Wheat Kings and Bobcaygeon -- but a solid tune.
She Didn't Know -- always liked that little harmonic Rob throws in around the 40 second mark and repeats a few times. Curious about the song writing on this one, just because of the prominence of Paul's vocals.
Boots of Hearts -- most impressive thing about this is Gord's vocals. Huge leap from the EP.
Everytime & The Weight Comes Down -- always really liked these songs, again dropped from set lists quick.
Trickle Down -- I remember this being a really popular song in some early shows that I saw, took on a bit of a life of it's own with a rambling Gord just before the solo. Again, I really like Gord's vocals on this track.
Another Midnight -- bit contrived lyrically.
Opiated -- started the tradition of last album track being of my favorites. No clue what's if fully about, but some definite eye moistness when they played it 27 years later in Ottawa.
