Post your reviews.
I have to say that We Are The Same is the best Hip album to date.
All the songs and the arrangements are fantastic especially The Depression Suite.
I have listened to it over 50 times from start to finish and a new favourite song emerges each time.
So thanks again to the boys for a superb listen and I can't wait to hear the tunes live.
I shit youse not! A very lovely sounding Tina called me at home "on behalf of the promoter" (she actually said that) asking if I wanted my 2 single tickets closer together. I originally had about 6 sets together but didn't get them due to the well-known snafu Monday morning; so I resorted to, luckily, buying 2 singles. 1 in FLR1, row B. The other in FBALC2, row FF. She offered to change the latter to FLR1, row B. Hmmm, let me think about that for 0.0001 seconds. Duh. So I says, I says, "I'll take it!!!!" She may kill me for writing this here, but you can reach her @ 1-866-523-7555 ext 2. Her name is Tina - she's working until 900pm Central time. Unreal!
Good luck,
Ikky

Great Gordon Lightfoot interview on Radio 2 Drive with Jian Ghomeshi. Lightfoot mentions how one of his favorite covers of one of his songs is Black Day in July by Gordon Downie and The Tragically Hip. 39 minute mark (and the song is played).

I am shocked to say the least, The Hip have been left off the Ottawa Blues Festival lineup. On July 2 2009 they will be in St. John's why not play one week later July 9th at the blues festival? Makes no sense to me at all.
Match-up #38 - Fiddler's Green Vs. Fully Completely
Listen to the two songs in the match-up Back to Back, and consider the lyrics of the song. Feel free to post an unbiased analysis of both songs in this thread, but please refrain from cheerleading or making predictions for your favourites.
