This was announced earlier today in the SOTD thread.
Login to thehip.com, click the Listen tab. On the right side of the website, you can change what appears when you click the "Listen to Music" option.
The new shows available are:
2009-05-09 - Boston, Massachusetts - 'House of Blues'
1994-10-16 - Albuquerque, New Mexico - 'El Ray Theatre'
1995-02-02 - Halifax, Nova Scotia - 'Metro Centre'
1996-09-11 - Las Vegas, Nevada - 'Freemont St. Reggae & Blues Festival'

Theres so many times that i listen to the song and thing of a sad song written that could mean just about anything. What about you guys, what does the song mean to you? what do you think Gord sings about? Is it truly a beautiful thing?

I have 160 ipod classic that I manage with Rhythmbox for Linux Mint. This weekend I went to Saint John and plugged my iPod into a Dell w/ XP. Everything was fine. Ejected... enjoyed a car ride to Fredericton. Arrived in Fredericton, plugged my iPod into my laptop with Linux. All the music appeared on the iPod/in Rhythmbox. At one point rhythmbox froze. I shut the program down and ejected the iPod. I started the program back up, and connected my iPod. This time no music appeared on my computer. I ejected and there was no music being read by the iPod. I did a reset of the iPod OS, no music.
I searched through the files of my iPod... all the music is still on the iPod in the weird JXOD.mp3 files iPods make.
Is there anyway to find out if there is a file missing that bridges the gap so that my computer and my iPod can read / detect these files? My music is not backed up, and I would certainly love to not have to format.
Any help / suggestions would be appreciated!

He's playing on PEI for two consecutive nights in April. I was thinking of going but $32.50 seems a bit steep to see him. Call me cheap, but I think I'll save my money. I saw him once before and it was a good show, but whatever. Anyway, is anyone watching any of his current tour shows?

Well, I became a fan of the Hip back when I was in college, mid-80's. One of my all-time favourite bands and one of the only that I will now actually travel to see. Nowadays, I only catch them once per tour but each time is well worth the effort and time.

Everyone here has their own reasons for listening to this band and I am still awed by their resilience to leave my cd player.

I introduced my son to the Hip a few years ago, 2004, because he was digging "Makeshift We Are" while driving one day. I have slowly eased him into the Hip environment: cds, music videos, and tour dvds. Of course, also my hyperbolated concert stories.

So, my son wants to see the Hip this year. I told him that he is (probably/maybe/my ex will be pissed) able to go on the next tour. The band has been so good the last few years that I think that it is prime time for him to see them.

Oh yeah, my son is 10; but wise beyond his years................the next generation!!!!

... if you were to make a video to a Hip song (preferably one that doesn't already have a video) which one would it be, and what would your concept for it be?

My buddies and I are planning on doing some more music vids this year (it's a little hobby of ours), we wanted to do one for The Hip. But we want it to be something really special, so we're looking for as much input as we can get.
