Dr. Peter Loock, Bithun Sarkar (Eng. Chem. 2011) and Tragically Hip guitarist Paul Langlois demonstrate the “Photonic Guitar” in a 5 min clip shown by the Discovery Channel. Paul plays a custom-built acoustic guitar made by Dagmar Guitars (luthier: Pete Swanson). The “Photonic Guitar” is interrogated with laser light and is equipped with 7 fiber-optic sensors which act as pick-ups for the vibrations of the guitar body.

Anyone else really digging these guys? I know I'm a little late to the game, but I picked up Sigh No More a couple weeks ago and I haven't been able to stop listening to it.

Hey all...

Can anyone tell me the chords Paul is playing during the verse? I cannot seem to get it right. Rest of the song it is clear (Paul's guitar).

Gord Downie played a "private" show at the Drake Hotel yesterday afternoon. Part of their Underground afternoon concert series.
I believe this show was sponsored by Sirius Canada.
Buck 65 has a monthly gig at this hotel also.
