Hello everyone just a stab in the dark here I regret not getting VIP's for this concert and if anyone wants to trade down I would obviously pay difference I have 2 GA's. Or just sell me the VIP's and I will sell GA's to someone here.

In regards to the email, should it be interpreted as:

[There will be] more concert news [coming] this week (i.e. more shows)
-or-
[Here is] more concert news this week (i.e. Bobcaygeon tickets available)

I know it's all in the semantics of it - any opinions?

Yet another brilliant gem from Canada's most underrated singer/songwriter. I've said it before and I'll say it again. It's a bloody crime that he never gets the kind of wide attention he deserves. I can't think of too many other artists who are as consistently awesome as this guy. Like clockwork he puts out a new solo album roughly every 2 years, and each one is just as good, if not better than the one before it. Sadly though, his popularity seems to remain stuck in the Toronto/Buffalo area, and with a few die hard Lowest of the Low fans scattered across the country (myself included).

Anyways, I highly recommend that each and every one of you check this album out. You can buy the CD or get the digital version here:

REPORT: U2 SHOOTING ACHTUNG BABY DOCUMENTARY IN WINNIPEG THIS WEEK

The city of Winnipeg is all abuzz over the sight of several trucks of U2 equipment being loaded into the Burton Cummings Theatre on Thursday.

There's no official word of what's happening, but CJOB radio says U2 is shooting a documentary to be called Achtung! with Davis Guggenheim, the man who helmed It Might Get Loud a couple years ago with The Edge, Jimmy Page and Jack White. If that turns out to be correct, the documentary would presumably be included on the anticipated-but-not-yet-announced Achtung Baby re-issue/remaster that's expected later this year.

The Winnipeg Free Press says there's a "strong possibility" that U2 will be rehearsing and/or shooting a documentary at the theatre. CBC says they've only been told the facility is booked for a private event.

I'm a big Hip and Gord solo fan. Really. I am not a hater. But in my oppinion, on TGB, The Country of Miracles sounded like a bunch of kids who'd been playing their instruments for about three days. Really basic. I also thought the record was lacking in hooks. I thought WATS had the occasional good song on it, like, say, Coffee Girl, but I have come to expect more from The Hip. And then there's the new Stripper's Union record, on which, in my oppinion, Rob performed well below his potential.

Maybe all this is because The Hip have been listening to a lot of independent Canadian music, and they want to transition to a sound that is more cerebral and less accessible. Maybe it's because they feel that the stakes aren't very high anymore, since they could put out a CD of fart sounds and still pack stadiums on the ensuing tour. I don't know. But whatever the reason, I just don't think the guys are firing on all cylinders anymore.

I know I'm going to make a lot of people angry by saying this. But if you feel the same way as I do, and you've been too afraid to say it, then post here. Vent. Let me know that I'm not going crazy.

And to those of you who think I just commited a crime worse than murder... I'm sorry.
