Hey folks.
I have over a hundred Hip shows on CD, and I'd like to give them away. The shows range from 1987 to 2009. They are all in a disc binder. I am NOT selling them. Anyone interested, please PM me.

Was listening to WATS and was thinking about my favorite album in various stages of the Hip's career.
Likely open for debate I would categorize their album stages something like this:
Earliest: EP, UTH, RA, FC
Middle: DFN, TATH, PP, MAW
Latest: IVL, IBE, WC, WATS, NFPA
What are your choices?
Here are mine ...
Early - RA
Middle - TATH
Latest - WC
I have a mid-90s official black hockey jersey I'd like to trade for some Hip vinyl if anyone's interested. The jersey is all black, light mesh, with a red and white Native head logo on the front with a round "The Tragically Hip" sleeve logo. All logos embroidered, never worn, perfect for concerts. XL I believe. I can post pictures if there's interest. I don't have any Hip vinyl yet and I'm open to anything in Up To Here to Live Between Us era.
Thanks!
Chris.
I realize The Hip are busy touring at the moment, and just put out an album, but does anyone know if there are plans for another Gord Downie solo outing? Another book of poetry perhaps? I would personally love to see him return to either the experimental folk of his first album or the rocking, catchy sensibility of his second. Just please God, not another abortion like The Grand Bounce, which I think about grandly bouncing from my music collection every time I try to sit through it.
Stumbled across this video:

Very cool!

Let's you had a million dollars that would be donated to the band's charity of choice - and in exchange the band would play a 30 song set of any songs in their catalogue of your choosing - what 30 songs would you pick?
I'm not saying pick the best setlist or even what order. Just what 30 songs would you want to hear?
I assume most would fall into the seldom played or seldom/never heard category for most people.
Here would be mine by album:
1. Another Midnight
2. Opiated
3. Cordelia
4. The Luxury
5. Fight
6. On The Verge
7. Emergency
8. Titanic Terrarium
9. Don't Wake Daddy
10. Apartment Song
11. Sherpa
12. Vapour Trails
13. Rules
14. Chagrin Falls
15. Escape Is At Hand For The Travellin' Man
16. Emperor Penguin
17. Lake Fever
18. Putting Down
19. Stay
20. The Completists
21. Sharks
22. Toronto #4
23. Wild Mountain Honey
24. As I Wind Down The Pines
25. The Darkest One
26. Throwing Off Glass
27. The Dire Wolf
28. It Can't Be Nashville Every Night
29. Are We Family
30. The New Maybe
What do you think are the Hip's best songs for the bedroom? Poets has always had a semi-hypnotic power over me, and of course Lake Fever explicitly mentions "coital fury." Any other suggestions?
