I know its a long shot but looking for 2 tickets for this show. eBay and other similar sites are ridiculous: $1000 + for tickets that have a face value of $70. Nuts.

I know a number of hipbasers listen to vinyl but there is no place we discuss it outside of occasional posts about hip vinyl. Thought it might be fun to start a thread dedicated to vinyl: What we're listen to, what we're listening on, albums we're looking for, albums we have to trade etc.

I have a music hall turntable http://www.uptownaudio.com/Music%20Hall/mmf5.jpg

Amp is Cambridge Sr-10 (might be wrong about the model #)

I try to buy vinyl direct from the artists (especially Canadian artists!) whenever I see them in concert. The collector in me goes after full discographies when practical/possible, sadly with Hip vinyl it sometimes isnt practical

Two examples of Canadian artists I've been seeing live for years are Sloan and Hayden. Twice removed is the only Sloan first pressing I still need, apart from a few promos/singles which I havent been able to find yet. For Hayden the last piece of my album puzzle is Moving Careful plus his singles. I have an extra copy of Sloan's 1993/1999 limited live bootlegs and Hayden's Everything I long for to swap if anyone can help me fill in these collections.

A few sought after albums:

Phish - Story of the ghost and Farmhouse
Dave Matthews Band - Before These Crowded Streets
Silverchair - Frogstomp (it was the first CD I ever owned)

Now I'm not one to bitch out when it comes to driving in snowstorms, but man, I'm really considering bitching out when it comes to driving in this snowstorm.

Milton -> Guelph. Tonight. Is this absurd, or should I grow a pair and get after it? Maybe I'm just getting old....

In 1999, CFNY (Edge 102) created a list of the Top 1002 songs of All Time. The Tragically Hip had 15 songs crack the top 500. Those songs were the following:

NOIS - 6
Blow at High Dough - 13
Little Bones - 23
Fifty Mission Cap - 63
Grace Too - 72
Courage - 79
100th Meridian- 87
Locked - 147
Nautical - 210
Twist My Arm - 234
Scared - 352
38 Years Old - 383
Gift Shop - 432
Looking For A Place To Happen -467
Bobc -481

If you were forced to create a list of your Top 15 Tragically Hip Songs of All Time, how would it compare to the list above?

Obviously an All Time list is very subjective but it has to be more than just your current favourite 15 Hip songs. This requires some thought. How do you define "Top Hip songs of All Time"? That is up to you. My question is this:

How many songs on your "Top 15 Hip songs of All Time" would come from albums after 1999?

This would include the albums:
Music @ Work
In Violet Light
In Between Evolution
World Container
We Are The Same
Now For Plan A

Feel free to post your entire list, just the songs from after 1999 or simply answer the poll. The choice is yours.
