Hey all,

I have both the St. John's (w/ sndchk.) and Halifax shows. If anyone would like to trade, I'd love to get any of the recent (2002) shows. Check out my list and my few rules at http://inmytree.tripod.com/bootlist.html

John

What a show!! The Hip played great, and Hard.. It was RAWK from the start, Use it Up, Music, and New O, started it off perfectly Fully Completely, Courage, Blow, Little Bones.... amazing The crows was so cool as if we were all family, crowd surfers were cool, everyone was helping everyone. At one put a female got knocked in the head, she ended up ok, but everyone stopped and pointed to her so the bouncers/security could help her easily. Opening the Encore with Grace set the crowd into a sing along frenzy. It was an amazing night.

The organizers were not expecting that many people. You basically couldn't move inside the grounds. The hip seemed lifeless onstage. Gord forgot lyrics. Average show at best. 7 out of 10.

PS what was up with the drum machine?

i am a little bit frustrated of the lack of diversity the hip are showing in their sets in thsi tour so far. There are just some songs they shouldn't play all the time and I think all fans know what they are yet they continue to play them. I am going to the toronto shows on the 1st and 2nd of Aug. and I don't wanna know what songs I will hear all the time, I will always be a true fan but I think they should not always have constants in their setlists, they are better than that!!

Has anyone been to the new shows this year and heard them play Daredevil? If so, did they perform a jam before the song like during the 2000 winter tour.
thanx
